Yeah, unfortunately we couldn't name everyone. We just did a top 25 of all weights and try to go off the big tournments. Most on the list were either middle school, folkstyle, freestyle, greco, champs or did well at tulsa, super 32, or Nationals. We'll be putting out an updated list soon.
Some of the weight classes last weekend were really loaded, like 100, 106, and 113. St. Laurent and Dowty both were returning Middle School champs and took 5th this year, still really good but just shows how loaded these weights were. 

Many kids at middle school state last weekend getting 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and they are not on the list.  I think kids still playing multiple sports get overlooked because they are not wrestling the amount of matches as the ones on the list.  Just a thought?????

Bend the knee sounds stronger . Or Kneel before us. Good luck this weekend ahead as I can see 10 placers possible after the draws. I’m not sure what a record is for a team with State placers but look to be in some good spots .

I agree with just about everything you said.  How about that, a Merrillville guy and CP guy agreeing on something.
 
I agree 100% with any parent that makes the choice to move in order to give their son or daughter the best opportunity at success in life.  Just because a parent chooses to move doesn't mean a coach came and sat in their living room and convinced them to move to a different community and join their wrestling team.  
 
My point is that there are a lot of people making accusations of recruiting without any proof.  Without proof, it's just an opinion.  And typically, those opinions stem from jealousy.  They appear to be so appalled at the notion of recruiting and even say they have proof.  Well, end the conversation and show the proof, if you have it. If you don't, keep your mouth shut.

I am not sure if it is illegal I have gone back and watched it a couple times. I looked bad, I would be hard to say Maldonado knew Hawkins head was there it looked like he tried to roll under. It looked like he was trying to create a scramble. But it looks bad for sure, it created some heat at the end for sure. I don’t think Merrillville and CP will be exchanging Christmas cards again.

Mr Bohn, 
First, I enjoyed watching your son wrestle yesterday.  Kid is a stud!  Very crafty and sneaky quick!  Second, I was there with my brother and explained to him who you were as he got us a couple of hotdogs to try.  Interested in your write up and perspective. If I were to be kind, I would give them maybe 2 pizza slices. Lastly, I completely agree with your take on parents should be allowed to place their kids in the best environment that would offer the best opportunity for success in life.  And wrestling isn't the only factor in that decision.  

Honestly, I think kids can go where they and their parents think will suit them best.  If they want to uproot their family and move into a district, then more power to them.  Also, I think it's bullshit that kids can't transfer freely.  They wouldn't want to transfer if they felt that their best interests lie with staying with the same program.  I get it, if these were the rules, the top schools in the state would have to work double to get kids, but..... like I've said, I truly believe people should be able to make what choice they feel will provide the best future for themselves.  There's a reason my family chose Munster and we moved CJ and his ketchup on hotdog loving mother into the district, and, believe it or not, it wasn't because they are a wrestling powerhouse.

I think pre high school recruiting makes it easier especially when a lot of these guys are the same summer teams and we know wrestling parents like to have a good time and I am sure the convo of wouldn’t it be cool if we went to high school together
