Huckaby from Perry Meridian with two pins over higher ranked opponents to win the Regional Championship at 160. On the flip side Perry Meridian only sends 8 kids to semi-state. Don’t know that stats on that but it’s probably the lowest in a very long time.

Obviously Mater Dei deserved coach of the year after winning Team State and Individual State, but just wanna give a quick shoutout to the PM coaches. Turning 3 state qualifiers last year to 9 this year. Toby Billerman wasn’t even on the varsity squad last year and continued to place 3rd at state this year. Jakob Sheets, Jajuan Dale, and Jeff Mcclure all did not make it past the first round of Semi-State their previous 3 years of HS and proceeded to get 4th, 4th, and SQ. Great job 👏

Being from PM and only being a teenager, this was a very tough read. Have no clue what most of these references are referring to. This slang is confusing my brain 🥴  Someone help
