Too may people are cryptic on here. Let it fly! Don’t let the Wang Chung masters on this forum scare you.

Last year it was two weeks earlier.
Would be good to know when it will be for sure. Not on track yet either.

Well if that’s the case than whether you’re undefeated or not doesn’t really mean anything considering the variance in competition.
You can’t compare a wrestler who seeks out top level national competition with one who has only wrestled in their back yard.

Even if that mentality is outdated in the mainstream, I don’t think it is ineffective. Quite the contrary. It definitely leads to success. I am not speaking in terms of wrestling, as I am no expert in wrestling. I am speaking in terms of life. And this mentality is the reason I have my kids wrestle. Of all the sports I participated in as a kid, wrestling taught me the most. And it taught me the “mentality” that you’re referring to—that pushing yourself to the extreme gave you an edge over the competition and made you realize that your limits are far beyond what you think. That is invaluable in all aspects of life.
With that said, I would struggle being a coach because I would be hesitant to push other people’s kids the way I push my own. And that is because of the change in society as a whole doesn’t fit with my mentality.
My favorite coaches of my sons’ are the ones that don’t give a hoot about the changes in society and say and do things I would not if I were in their place. 😆

Ladies and Gentleman, this fight is 3 rounds in the Indianamat Fantasy Fighting Championship’s Heavyweight division...
Introducing first, out of the blue corner, a legendary mma star - holding a professional record of 1 zillion wins to only 1 defeat.. standing at 5’9” tall, 210 pounds. FIGHTING out of his parents basement and reliving his glory days via high school wrestling message boards - FCFIGHTER.
And now introducing his opponent, FIGHTING out of the red corner. An ancient eastern Asian martial arts master, standing at 6’0” 225 pounds. The REIGNING, DEFENDING WORLD WANG CHUN CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, GENHEAVYHANDS!!!
(crowd goes wild as lights and cameras focus on the imaginary octagon in the imaginary arena)

Saw some of @FCFIGHTER170 fights on the ol inter web. I can attest that he is a tough dude. Pretty sure the crazy talk would not happen face to face.
But.. I would love to see some @GenHeavyHandz Wang Chung videos!!!! Where can we find them? Surely a Wang Chung master of 23 years has some good content on a Wang Chung website!!!
🎼Everybody have fun tonight
Everybody Wang Chung tonight🎶

Good on Coach Harper @crosstownrivals and the entire penn program. Glad my son went thru the program. Special appearance by ref Troy!

I think you meant to list Hunter May as 4th not Hunter Henry in the 15u at 135.

I like lifting the travel restrictions but cannot stand class sports, for any individual sport.
You do this and you never have Mendez v Watts last year.
You don’t have 10 of the state championship matches from last year.
And you never have Chad Red v Nick Lee, probably the best indiana high school state match of all time.
You won’t have 10,000+ fans at bankers life cheering on the 2 best kids in the state under the lights.
It’s very simple, the more state champions you have the less it means. You win a state championship and you are one of the best 14. You win a state championship in a class system and you are one of the best 42. A state title simply will not mean as much.

Here is an argument on why one class is better for the kids:
A state championship in a state with one class will carry more weight with college coaches.
Also, I am raising my kids to think big. Not just in terms of wrestling, but in life. But in that theme, as far as wrestling goes, competing in a single class state tournament is a much bigger stage, and encourages them to shoot higher than a multi-class tourney.

Lots of cry-cry stuff for a state that is still single class. Either you beat who is in front of you or not.

Wow you guys made sure Cathedral gets a pass. Mater Dei is a 1 and BB is 2. You guys know this is how is should be. Not sure how it always works out for Cathedral. At the state tourney, team state. Couldn't stop it last year and the same will happen this year. They will finish 2nd when actually they should be 3rd but it doesn't matter they aren't winning no matter where you put them. It's sad that you guys do this crap.
