Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I too call stalling in that situation. Over 20 seconds of holding a front headlock just riding out a one point lead is stalling, no matter what stage you’re on. 

Fighting for your kid and acting like that are two different things.  I can't imagine the words that actually came out of his mouth.

I don't have much knowledge on what is allowed and what isn't.  But he came up to one of my wrestlers and his family at state 2 years ago and asked if they'd be interested in transferring over to be able to wrestle for them.  I just assumed they were allowed to do that.

You are supposed to wrestle at folkstyle state to "qualify." You can get a waiver or just sign up, not sure they will do much.

I don't believe you need to qualify for Folkstyle Nationals...I think the State thing is to join the Team Indiana team...I would try and get clarification on that however. Perhaps contacting the ISWA office would be helpful.

Y2, you constantly talk about growing the sport and doing what's best for the sport, yet your actions show the exact opposite. You don't get what you want, so you'll go home and take your ball with you, but along the way you'll make kids pay for other adults not doing what you want? For all the good you do for the sport of wrestling you do equal amount of bad by alienating people with your juvenile behavior. I also love how you point out the person in the hall of fame only had 3 qualifiers in his career, way to take the high road on that one.

Actually... parts of Brownsburg's township have Indianapolis address. It actually touches Indy.

Because those are the rules. The goal of the Indiana Gold team is to have the best kids. As a coach, if I have a kid that is eligible to be on the Gold team and money is the reason he won't be able to do it, I'll work to help him raise money.

Well Kenny Kerrn just decided to go to Trine to play football. College football coaches LOVE wrestlers!!! Wasn't sure where he was looking but those small town kids are always animals at the next level, like they've got something to prove. It's beautiful! HA

Yes football. Eli turned into a beast at linebacker this season. I really think it helped his confidence goto another level.

Played college ball with Harvey, great kid! Fortunately the Jimmies got to sit next to the Monrovia clan and Stock family. To have two kids place and one being a champ is kind of a big deal! Do they play football or any other sports?

There may be someone a little more recent, but I know Jeremiah Harvey won heavyweight in 2011 after being knocked out at regionals the year before. Aaaannnnd I know this could seem like all talk... but I remember looking at the rankings mid season and being surprised Stock wasn't ranked higher. Though I wasn't expecting that fantastic run. Congratulations to him, he was totally locked in at state.

He wants too. hes got a couple visits coming up over the next few weeks.
