It's a sad day when FloWrestling is considered a credible news source. Willie is ok, but Pyles is the perfect example of "give a guy a microphone and he becomes an expert".

I was fortunate enough to make a trip to Iran with the US National Team in 2000. For a pure wrestling experience, this was the best trip I had been on. Passionate and knowledgeable fans, excellent food, VIP treatment, greeted at the airport by TV stations and the press, excellent competition. It was all about wrestling with very little else.
 
One of my best referee friends is Iranian. We used to joke about how closed minded our governments were. Today they proved it.

Yorktown has been front and center with their recruiting and "transfer" issues, funny you should throw shade on other schools. Not sure why you would "harbor resentment" toward other schools.
 
Those that live in glass houses should not throw stones. You might try a new tactic...building a program on recruiting, then accusing other schools of the same did not seem to gather any traction.

So let me get this correct, other than soccer, wrestling, baseball, basketball and football they are just average. 

Does Yorktown recruit in all sports, or just wrestling?

They are good in football as well.  I won't mess with the other part of the comment.

But my bet goes with David Palmer with Delta, 2,1,1,1 - then signed with Iowa, believe he had issues with
injury while there.  
 
Other guy I'd have to go with is Mark Whitehead - 1985- phenomenal athlete who focused on 
football and not wrestling year round. Was a NCAA runner-up at Northwestern in 89 or 90.  Had he been strictly 
wrestling like kids today, look out.

A. Sectional pairings and seeding will be made at 7:00 p.m. on the Monday preceding the sectional tournament at the center school.
1. Each participating school in that sectional may have only 1 representative voting. Positions of contestants from schools not represented will be drawn by lot.
2. Six contestants shall be seeded in each weight class. Coaches are required to bring their official team scorebook and all of their Alpha Master Reports for each season contest date. A coaches’ failure to have his official team scorebook and his Alpha Master Reports shall result in his school’s entries being unseeded unless a majority of the other coaches present wish to seed the offending school’s wrestlers.
 
What exactly did he not bring to the seeding meeting?

BreakfastClub you beat me to the punch.   Pease was incredibly dominant on a national level and caught a couple of tough breaks as a Junior and a Senior.   I think the deal was he was called for a slam at Semi-State as a Junior and the kid did not go on so he was DQ'd.   Fairly certain that was the case.   As a senior he broke his ankle in the practice room very early in the season and came back on a bum ankle and wrestled a handful of matches prior to the state tournament.  He was still hobbled pretty good at state.
