Brownsburg wrestlers just wrestled a 20 team Dual tournament, wrestled 9-10 teams in 2 days .

You know it’s almost tourney time by the stages of posts on the forum.
 
The stages before the state tournament 
 
stage 1: training 
 
 he is on a mission this year, changed his training 
 
 Stage 2: rankings disputes 
 
hates where they are ranked or not ranked but closes every message with “not that rankings matter” 
 
Stage 3: getting chippy 
is upset at every post about their favorite wrestler or team and they will use it as extra motivation.

these guys are going to make a run and knock off many ranked wrestlers

rememer it’s a long season and the message board is a lot of fun. We have an amazing community don’t take everything so serious. Everyone wants to see upsets and great matches

Watched the match, yes Illinois kid was Shaq size man (I’ll call him Shaq)  . Matches went to OT, Leighton was winning 4-1 or 3-1 ? Late in the 3rd, then.  Shaq grabbed and tossed Jones to his back out of Bounds . Ref called it takedown but from my view it was clearly out. I’m in the stands BTW . My view . Now just picture a kid the size of Jones getting tossed . I was like WOW ! Great match, worth the $10 admission .

@TeamGarcia & @Mattyb and I were just talking yesterday about that pic of him in the hospital bed after he had a very un-fortunate medical situation and how far he has come since then.
OK OK OK lets just all take a breath and cool down on this guys..................... The General Loves his guys and other's on here love their guys, lets all just hope this COVID crap doesn't take over and we get to finish the season and the kids all stay safe and healthy along the way.

Like I said, don’t sleep on Reese Courtney!  Great win. 

I’m aware of their national rankings, but Smith is wrestling great right now and only lost to Hockaday by one point at IHPO. As for heavyweight, Leighton is phenomenal and I’ve had the pleasure of working out with him a few times over summer, but Jacob Johnson is wrestling lights out and has distanced the gap between he and his competition. Leighton pinned him last year, but since then, Johnson has leveled up tremendously and is a gamer. His ability to find a way to win is second to none and I think he can reverse the result versus Leighton the same way he did against Brayden Erb, Antone Alexander, etc.

I think based on these brackets, I've broke wide open the mystery of no TrackWrestling at the Spartan Classic! Clearly someone paid a fortune for hundreds of these brackets to be custom printed in the late 80's and now they must recover their cost.
 
If you take a closer look at this stellar illustration, the top man appears to be wearing some saggy tights left over in the team's closet from the 1970s.  He's applying the classic "wing and tight waist" move on the bottom guy, trying to muscle his way to the pin.  Can't say for sure what is up with the skunk hair-do he has going on.
 
The bottom guy is sporting a mask with no eye-holes, so maybe he's seen VisionQuest and has decided to throw all his chips in and wrestle this match blind.  Not to be outdone by the Blue School, he also has some tights that match his mask, and he has cleverly pulled off the singlet/kneepad fashion match too.  He may lose miserably, but he WILL LOOK MARVELOUS doing so!
 
Maybe someone local can verify how large the stash of brackets is for the Spartan Wrestling Classic, and then we can use some simple math to extrapolate the first viable year that Trackwrestling may be considered.  Good luck to all the wrestlers today and if you have a mismatch, maybe try to muscle your way to the old wing/waist, then throw a sly wink up at the crowd
