    DAC Predictions:

    106: Jones over Haney

    113: Jendreas over Tolbert

    120: Jackson over Sessa

    126: Frazier over Rivera

    132: DeMarco over Van Tichelt

    138: Cruz over Clement

    145: Torres over Bahl

    152: Rinehart over Pellot

    160: Goin over Shaffer

    170: Goodwin over Hood

    182: Cruz over Risner

    195: White over Veal

    220: Clark over McClelland

    285: Clark over Meschede

Not too many upset picks here, with so many overwhelming favorites, with Jendreas, Jackson, Frazier, Rinehart, Goin, Goodwin, Cruz, White, and the Clarks locks in my book. Mason Jones could certainly be in there too, but Haney had a 6-1 match earlier in the year with Jones, and I feel like any of the other wrestlers in this list won't be making it to six minutes with less than eight points. Not a knock to Jones, of course, but I think Haney could test him. Woods from Portage is also solid and could very well be the finalist over Haney, and probably will be seeded higher, although I think Haney makes the upset. 132 will be the weight class of the tournament, with a rematch of DeMarco and Maldonado potentially happening, although Griffin Van Tichelt has had a great couple of weeks, getting wins like Josh Johnson and Keaton Morton in his few weeks as a starter for Crown Point. Is it too ambitious to think that Van Tichelt will beat Maldonado? Maybe, but I'm gonna pick the upset anyways. 145 could be interesting, but two of the significant wrestlers in the field are iffy on whether or not they will be there. Anthony Bahl may not be in good enough health to compete (hope you get better, man) and Carlos Perez has not competed for quite a bit of time now. This is also a potential weight class of the tournament if everybody shows, but if not, Crown Point's Christian Washington and Lake Central's Neo Cameron are wrestlers with solid results that will make for a fun semis match (went into overtime at Al Smith).

Carlos Perez is no longer on the team

If you have one you should look into your graphic/print shop program at the school and see if they would do something, free and its a cool project for them, this is what we did for ours

If CP attended the Evansville semi-state how many champs would they have? I can count 3 (Frazier, Mendez, Goin) I think

    106: 4th

    113:DNP

    120: DNP

    126: 1st

    132: 3rd

    138: 1st

    145: 2nd

    152: 1st

    160: 4th

    170: DNP

    182: 2nd

    195: DNP 4th at best

    220: DNP

    HWT: DNP

This would make life real interesting for the red dogs. EMD would outscore them and would bring home the title. Baumann, Sollars, Critchfield, Seng, Schaeffer, May will all be top 4 this weekend and we will at least 2 champs. When did the famous Region get so bad? Hanover Central, Mishawaka, Lake Central, Munster, and Griffith used to have studs that would make this semi state so tough. Crown Point just runs away with it now, Penn is a very distant second...dare I say that EC is equivalent to Fort Wayne.

Everything @brickfor6 said then some.  I would say Hanover Central is on the verge of being a real solid team again in a couple of years. They have struggled in years past due to a turnover in coaching but with a solid new head coach this year, a feeder program on the up and the mass influx of population I see them getting a lot better in years to come.  Lake Central is really the same they have been since 2003.  Right in the middle of the pack in the DAC, an average to above average team every year with 3-5 state caliber guys. What @brickfor6 said about Mishawaka.  Munster has never really had a solid team IMO, at least not for the past 20 years, they usually have 1 or 2 state caliber guys.  Griffith has been down since 2004 and I don’t see it getting better any time soon.  You also have to take into account kids that head to

Illinois and kids that have transferred to CP from other school systems (2 in starting lineup transferred from LC to CP right before high school).  Also, let’s face it CP’s team is something special and they have and are building something that is hard to compete with, aside from their town being a very desirable place to live.  They will be at the top for years to come.

  4. DAC might have more, it would take some time to crosscheck, either way both conferences will have a lot of ranked matchups
