Mat 3 sound not working.... sound stuck and the same is repeating over and over. Very frustrating. If Micic and Lee are set for Mat 1 with no stream I'm going to be pissed! -

Great ones so far.. Here are a few that interest me for one reason or another. 106 Egli vs. Reitz - Quarterfinal (winner should be under the lights Bailey vs. Cummings - Quarterfinal Konrath vs. Bailey - Semis (Final quality match) 120 - Even with Chad Red as the favorite, to me this is the deepest weight class by far. Great matchups from the beginning on Friday night. Cottey vs. Glogouski - Opener Sinkovics vs. Johnson - Opener (Johnson winning would be a big upset, but I'm curious to see how Johnson wrestles here. To me this could be telling to where he may be get to next year.) Schermer vs. Knapp - Quarterfinal LaHue vs. Red - Quarterfinal (Final quality!) Hudkins vs. Sinkovics - Semis (1-1 vs. each other... Winner with a shot to beat Red. 132 Carithers vs. Josh Davis - Quarterfinal (don't know much about Carithers, but Davis is very good) 145 Batts vs. Harvey - Opener 152 Schurg vs. Damler - Opener (Damler kind of came from nowhere last weekend and was very impressive. Can he step it up again?) Schrug vs. Carroll - Quarterfinal (tough road for Schurg) 160 Corsaro vs. Kemper - Quarterfinal (more of a measuring stick for Kemper. W/ practice partner Kelley, woudn't put anything past him) Hiestand vs. Forzley - Opener 170 Jeffrey Scott vs. Bennet Kempf - Opener (would love feedback from others on this one) Chase Osborn vs. Jake Rickenbaugh - Quarterfinal 195 Kral vs. Scott - Opener Wagner vs. Thacker - Quarterfinal (can Thacker bounce back after tripping up last week?)

Two upsets in Evansville 132 Mitch Anderson (Mooresville) by fall over Kyle Todrank (Gibson Southern) - Todrank had beaten Anderson 16-2 earlier in the year 152 CJ Damler (Brownsburg) beats Logan Weinzapfel (Mater Dei) in the first round and then takes out Phoenix Adams (Terre Haute South) 3-2

I believe he may have been thinking about Patrick Schnell from Castle who drew Fleener in the opening round. Schnell was a state qualifier last year. Thinking maybe Fleener was still hurting, I picked Schnell in the upset. That one may come back to haunt me!

Ford Center/Evansville Semi-state fan and wrestler info

Can't beat Turoni's!! Is the bar right across the street from the Ford Center still open? Can't remember the name, but it was a good atmosphere and pretty good food. About 50-100 yards from the main entrance... And one big BOOOOO on no public Wi-Fi! The only times I have been in that building (4 or 5), the regular cell service sucked for multiple companies. -

When looking at the brackets on trackwrestling, the individual seeds are not noted, and not obvious. I assumed you would have the #1 see on the same position of the bracket but that doesn't seem to be the case (unless Egli is the #1 over Konrath). Is there a key so one can tell who is what seed? I guess the first two are confusing me. Egli is on the top line of the bracket at 106 and he was the winner at Central. Ferguson is in the same position at 113 and he was the winner at Castle. What am I missing?

First let me say I live out of state and have always loved wrestling and try to follow Indiana wrestling, but it's mostly around tournament time. So there is a lot about these kids I don't know. From Evansville originally and get some info from people there, but mostly here, online papers, etc. I do follow the tournament on Saturdays on trackwrestling or video streams and have streamed the state finals the past several years. But I gotta ask, despite possibly sounding stupid. A few questions: 1. What gives Lee a realistic shot to beat Micic for the state title? I know he's good, but he's a frosh, so my info on him is limited. Have they ever faced each other in summer tournaments? Micic seems awfully good! 2. Why is Konrath at MV? It seems like a kid that good that lives in that area would end up at MD. It seems really odd (yet very cool) that 2 of the top 3 kids in the state at that weight live so close. I could see it if he were at Reitz, but Mt. Vernon isn't known as a wrestling powerhouse. 3. Why do MD kids always seem to have so many fewer matches than most of the other schools? 4. Lastly, does anyone think Schaefer (106 Memorial) has a chance to beat Nawl this weekend? Have they faced each other? Thanks for the answers and all of the info and opinions posted here.

Who are the most likely wrestlers from the Eville SS to win State? Are there any sleepers with a legit shot at winning it all even though they aren't favored? If you were to put together a pound-for-pound ranking ala boxing, would it be the same as the most likely? Or are there more than one wrestler in some weight classes that would make a P4P list?

I hate to be the grammar police, but this has been driving me nuts, especially in this thread. Wrestler A dominated Wrestler B Wrestler A put on a dominant performance Saying wrestler A is/was dominate is incorrect.

Thoughts on the take down given to Baysinger, then waved off? Both referees were standing in front of the video camera.

Wedding vs. Baysinger looks to be a tough match. Wedding has been there before and is dangerous. Not sure if he still has lingering effects from an earlier injury, but he's had some tough matches. I believe 3 of his 4 losses have been by 1 point, including a 2-1 loss to Levi Moss in the semis.

I'm guessing there are approximately a dozen catholic elementary schools in Evansville (grades 1-8). Roughly half would feed into Mater Dei and half into Memorial. They are smaller schools in terms of enrollment. Of course, kids in those schools are able to go to the public high schools and some kids will end up at Mater Dei or Memorial that went to public elementary schools. Also there are a handful of catholic kids that attend Mater Dei or Memorial from outside the feeder system coming from areas like Mt. Vernon, Castle or Henderson, KY for example.
