MattM
This is Pre-season so Im sure they are still figuring out weights. And these are usually heavily influenced by the recent Fargo showing. 106 - Rioux 8th 126 - Hockaday 6th 126 - Shepherd 19th 189 - Veazy 9th (guess IN get him for one more ranking) 220 - Clark 12th Edited September 1, 2023 by MattM Misty Kendrex

TrueRegionFan
If Bishop McCort really is coming to the Carnahan as was mentioned in a different thread, then 126 will sort itself out and give Shepherd an opportunity to show/prove where he ranks. #1 Jax Forrest (Bishop McCort), #6 Jake Hockaday (Brownsburg) and #19 Clinton Shepherd (Crown Point) is worth the price of admission. Here are the two unknowns. Does Bishop McCort attend the Carnahan? Is Shepherd going 126 for CP or is Hawkins? Either way, a CP wrestler will be ranked nationally at 126, and quite possibly 132 as well.....

Also Seth Mendoza will at 126 this season but could be 120 for some bigger tournaments .Most of the Ranked kids get ranked at much lighter weights than they wrestled for the big off season tournaments such as Fargo and Super 32. The season is still months away and some kids are growing so will be interesting to see how the weights play out. SIwrestling
126 is absolutely stacked tho. To be top 20 in that weight class really says something. jshep86 and TrueRegionFan

TripleB
Yeah early rumblings are Shep will be up around 138. Will still be interesting to see how that line up shakes out, lots of dudes in the same 2-3 weight range. TrueRegionFan

I think him a little higher helps the line up. Not a bad problem to have and one most teams wish they could have . Team should be young with limited seniors this season in the line up jshep86, Tcarter, TrueRegionFan and 1 other

Don’t think greco necessarily translates to folkstyle like freestyle does. Unless those wins are in freestyle.

Flowrestling weighs more on the side of folkstyle in their criteria. You must also consider its Cadet. If he goes out and wins Juniors. Or even state. He’ll be ranked in the top 10-15.
