brickfor6
Sad to say that Coach Steve Balash lost his battle with cancer this morning around 4am. He battled tough, took the hardest match he’s ever had into OT. All I can say is what an incredible human. I am so thankful to have had him in my life for the past 28 years. If you knew Steve I am sure you can say the same. We lost a great one today! Updates soon on arrangements. Ed Pendoski
The world lost a great one today. I was thankful to know Coach Balash as a mentor, and a friend. "All my life, I wanna be a Brickie....work, work, work." I can't think of anyone that lived that way more than Coach Balash. RIP friend Thoughts and prayers for the family and the entire town of Hobart. I can't imagine the number of lives that Coach Balash left a footprint on. BLF Snow Cone
Rest In Peace, Coach. Hobart and NWI lost a great man. His legacy will live on through the impact he had on hundreds, if not thousands of students and athletes under his influence for nearly half a century. I used to tease him, I said “Dang Coach you must like riding busses, coaching 3 sports for 50 years, that’s a lot of bus rides.” This always made him laugh. Incredible Coach, even more of an incredible human. Footprints for generations and generations to come Y2CJ41, base and indianmorg
