Sad to say that Coach Steve Balash lost his battle with cancer this morning around 4am. He battled tough, took the hardest match he’s ever had into OT. All I can say is what an incredible human. I am so thankful to have had him in my life for the past 28 years. If you knew Steve I am sure you can say the same. We lost a great one today! Updates soon on arrangements. 746E8FC3-CF4E-4D4D-B446-3B97C34618B3.jpeg.f1c940d9bdd6fdbc77ebc60b8b918a2c.jpeg244FEC0A-50B1-4F5F-87EB-A02E0D40A4CB.thumb.jpeg.cf948edec4676a65f875dc8b85bae041.jpegE13E1D2E-F802-412E-81F6-60D38DE72344.thumb.jpeg.5a6a1fd1e78069e1a443a8403082c4a7.jpegECBB597E-132D-4300-8DC5-AABDF886E553.thumb.jpeg.2ab8acfd332670e64d69e98131b9b0f4.jpegD9CA7785-CCAA-444E-8083-D53BD2E59D62.thumb.jpeg.1198578d22a43628ad298cebdaa7ab94.jpeg796C2BFF-9E90-404A-9E83-5A08C6CE24DD.thumb.jpeg.4abcb3e0681f65f6a8f16e73e77a0702.jpeg259CB273-8593-4B9D-802B-9D619FAAEA8E.thumb.jpeg.93b46f7b1a7c627a955464443eb32ef4.jpegE648C1B0-E46A-483B-A863-A2A9CDD06D2F.jpeg.651e153c62cefd5d059d9502206e403a.jpegFF630C5F-4541-4CEE-88BB-0C5C36934C49.jpeg.e8f583fa1b8ca897b9ce7836571d7d71.jpeg10B09B5F-87F2-46F2-89E6-5C0F955EDA7A.thumb.jpeg.acebc14b9673e8ddeb08ba259448645c.jpeg69EE815F-35B9-4E98-9959-C6DDE1372490.thumb.jpeg.752d3467a756cb020d6046b819c24e38.jpegC5D781D8-454C-4909-B037-E0F9FCEA306A.jpeg.d1b6014381fd224c69fed0ed41bfdf0f.jpegCD569595-0218-472B-8DC5-76D2637B7A2E.thumb.jpeg.411bb18149ac095f23c3834d3dce13b2.jpegFDC0B54D-BADF-4EB8-9C5A-BA9C25D67561.thumb.jpeg.77c9f4051ecc878ab01565869906933b.jpegF8E4D6D3-F9E1-4398-BC0B-8861EC172196.thumb.jpeg.8ba808778b8e14c9c4f592fa81fa51de.jpeg

The world lost a great one today.  I was thankful to know Coach Balash as a mentor, and a friend.

"All my life, I wanna be a Brickie....work, work, work."

I can't think of anyone that lived that way more than Coach Balash.  RIP friend

Thoughts and prayers for the family and the entire town of Hobart.  I can't imagine the number of lives that Coach Balash left a footprint on.

I used to tease him, I said “Dang Coach you must like riding busses, coaching 3 sports for 50 years, that’s a lot of bus rides.” This always made him laugh.

Incredible Coach, even more of an incredible human.

Footprints for generations and generations to come
