maligned
Action starts today at 11am ET with the quarterfinals and consolation round 2 (involving everyone with 1 loss from yesterday). Those matches will run simultaneously with quarterfinals using only 4 of the 8 mats. That will be followed by consolation round 3, involving only the winners of conso. round 2. Mat assignments are all locked in for the quarters: Tsirtsis will be up 4th on Mat 5 and Walsh of IU will be up 6th on Mat 4. Consolation mats will still be first-available, although we already know that Sabatello will be on Mat 7. All mats, with decent play-by-play, are still available on watchespn.com if you have any sort of cable/satellite package. maligned
Sabatello wins 1-0 on a riding time point. There are 16 guys left after you win in the conso 2nd round. A conso 3rd round win moves you into the final 12, and a conso 4th round win puts you on the podium. Edited March 20, 2015 by maligned

maligned
#6 seed Walsh of IU with a GIGANTIC win over #3 Isaac Jordan, who had beaten him twice previously. He'll have the upstart #15 from North carolina in the semi's...there's a very real chance of the first IU finalist since Angel. Tsirtsis will have #3 Habat in the semi's by the way. Habat has steamrolled through so far to the tune of 29-2 cumulative score in 3 matches.

maligned
Nate Jackson won his conso rd 2 match, but Chad Welch and Brian Harvey lost. So all the ex-Indiana high schoolers are out except for Tsirtsis. Sabatello and Lawrence of Purdue and Jackson of IU will wrestle in the conso 3rd round coming up and Tsirtsis will be joined by IU's Walsh in the semi's tonight. maligned
Jackson loses to #5 Butler. Everybody we've been following is gone except for Tsirtsis and Walsh in the semi's tonight. I'm obviously excited about those 2 guys but it's really disappointing that no other guys with Indiana ties were able to mount a run to speak of. Outside of maybe 3 or 4 from the original list of guys we tracked, I thought about any of them could have made a run on the right day. PreparetoWin
Wow...he got robbed. Tsirtsis got a take down and he should have got a a penalty point. But if Tsirtsis would have been offensive the first period instead of playing defense I think he would have got two or three takedowns. Sometimes that style can turn out to bite you in the end. Jayruss
Wish T-shirts got more offensive early, his style is effective, but in this case bit him in the butt
SWINfan
Tsirtsis loses a tough semifinal to Habat 3-2. On a semi-Indiana related note, how about Zeke Moisey making the finals? He's beaten the 15, 2, 7 and 6 seeds, and avenging earlier season losses to 2 seed (Garrett majored him) and 7 seed Klimara of OK St who had beaten him twice. Petrov beat him earlier in the year 4-3 and Micic majored him 13-4 at the Dapper Dan last year. He's been on fire this weekend, making the finals by pinning Gilman of Iowa in :52.
