Evansville Semi-State Rankings 2-4-13 *Number breakdown on last page*

Yes Elmore looked good last night and Helm score was 5-4 but I don't think a win or loss at this point says anything about what is going to happen in 2 months. Both will be busting their humps over break getting ready for MD which I think would be a better measuring stick as to how things might go down in Feb. also Miranda pinned Nick Pingleton at 138.

rumor has it elmore from avon handled lewis from greencastle....if so he will def compete for a ticket to conseco

I heard Elmore beat Lewis 9-2. Like QuinnsDad said Helm and Elmore both look really good and are only sophomores. Still alot of season left for both of them

Guessing we will see a shake up at HWT. I heard Sampson from Northview clearly out wrestled a tough Paoli kid and Jolly-Little of Jeffersonville. I wasn't there so can anyone verify this one and explain how he pull those monster wins out.

Sampson was tough last year and had a state placer as his practice partner all season.  This year he looks even stronger, but his sectional and regional is very tough for HWTs.

at 113 Lehman MDei needs a good look.  He beat Wilkerson FR, Rassbach Avon, and a tough under the radar Suar MV twice.

120 Etienne avon and Johnson Mdei beat Reese Franklin.  Whitley FC beat Etienne 6-2

126 jourdan is a frosh who just took third at Mater Dei.  He TF Jamison and pinned a ranked Illinois kid.

132 Lykins beat Pierre, Tre Marler is back and looked good.

138 Schroeder MD majored Troutman FC

145 Emily and Weinzapfel over Elderkin

152 Stillinger has to move up after his big win!

160 Parkinson #2 over Kriech #1 with a score of 7-0.  Rynkiewich MV 20-3 record took 3rd could be in the 5-8 range.  He lost to Kriech 3-13.

182 Zorniger Avon should be top 2/3 with his win over Wagner NP.  Wagner beat Petrole 10-2.

195 Brownfield Franklin could use a look, I never heard of him but he won the MD classic in dramatic fashion.

220 Barnes Ev Memorial 26-3 record took 5th at MD and lost a close one to Ottersbach 3-6

285 Wright looked good against a state champ from KY, and wished he would have wrestled Little.  Little looked athletic, but I give the edge to Wright.

Got to speak up , HWT- Sampson has got to get some credit in the Eville SS. He is on a mission

and still undefeated!! Won 2 very solid tournaments (Jeff Classic and Mooresville H/C). Might of put himself in the drive seat but the Bloomington Regional is loaded at HWT!! BT (imo)

I agree, you have Sampson, dajani, Mims, in the nortview sectional .  you have Schoeppe, Miller, and honaker in the Northridge sectional which all three made it to the ticket round last year .

Miller from Pike Central is in the Ev. Central Sectional which makes them now four deep with semi-state returners (Miller, Wright, Little, Hohl).

Southridge did add Bedford so thats Davis who was a Semi-State qualifier.  Not any easy draws in that Regional at HWT.

With only 5 seniors in last years HWT Semi-State bracket (that's usually rare), their should be a good amount of experience/depth in the group which make its this year.

With Kennedy going 106 changes things up a bit.  DJ Smith versus Kennedy would be a battle of two little body builders lol.

Looking at which regionals some guys go through I am predicting a few Regional champs will be upset at semi state.
