Trinedad
Not sure if he has them right or not, but it seems to me that the people here in central Indiana dont care that much about rankings. Personally, I think they are nice, but in the end that only thing they do is put a target on your back, but most likely no more then was there anyway. If you are good the good guys know who you are and what they are going to have to do to win. If you are a freshman, or a move in and peole dont know much about you, again, if you are good they will know about you soon enough, and the rankings wont matter. Having said this, thanks coach Thornton, for the effort and work you put into them.
wrestler60160
I think the people likes seeing who is considered 1-? each week. They must be, over 500 people has checked them out in 24 hours.
grappler87
Mr. Thorton has a wealth of knowledge on any subject known to man or beast. So when I saw his name starting this post I knew there would be much argument.
Dingo Brigade
Coach Thornton's rankings are usually pretty spot on. I can't dispute any of rankings at this point in the season. Is McCarthy 103, 112 or 119? Does anyone know for sure? The Nelson/Kieffer matchup will be interesting as the season progresses. Short, scrappy, technical Nelson vs. the long, technical Kieffer. Nelson won the first one 2-1, but that was the first battle in what looks to be a long war. Wright/Quiroga could be one of the matches of the year if it takes place. There is some very solid depth at 103, 112, 130, 135, 140, 152, 160 and 215. HWT looks a little lean, but that could change by the end of the year. RankingsGuy
Grey beat Odom 10-2 at Cathedral, and I have a question about Sampson Cook... is he in the lineup, and if so what weight? I noticed that freshman Kirk Johnson has been wrestling at 130 for Perry.
Oscar
Cook is on suspension. May or may not return. Who knows?? If he does. Johnson would be displaced or forced to 125 if he can beat Harris that is if Cook can make 130. Difficult juggling act between 130 and 145 , for more reasons than one. AJ
Mullins should break into the 112 now that he has defeated Keifer. This is lookoing like a really good semistate this year!

iwrestle1
Price from TECH should be up there at 103 he has already beat harvey. and Cosby from TECH beat MCGINLEY. Cosby should be #4 seed at
wrestling23
Mcginley is not cathedral's varsity 119 pounder.
firefan
What about Anthony Bill from Bishop Chatard I did some research and he is somewhere around 13-0 with an overtime win over Tyler Willis where he took Willis from his feet to his back and came close to pinning him in overtime. He also lost in the ticket round of Semi-state last year at 152 He should be ranked....

timbo
Pretty good start here- all names look pretty deserving---I know there are quite a few others deserving of mention---Lebanon, Noblesville, Fishers, McCutcheon and Hamilton Southeastern all have 3-4 notable wrestlers some who made it to the semi state last year. Not sure we have captured all from Carmel/ Westfield. Last year South Mont was pretty suprising----not sure how many return
