2024 Pritchard Companies US Open Entries from Indiana

As a relative newbie to these bigger meets, was there some kind of qualifier for these athletes to attend the US Open??  Also notice that the age ranges are off from the normal FS/GR meets for say Schoolboy or Cadet for the State competitions, etc...

The only division that required a qualification was the Girls Showcase. Only other qualification is enough money to fly out to Vegas.

These are UWW age groups which are based on 3 year increments in most circumstances and utilize the ever popular metric weight classes.

Can’t believe there’s been no chatter about this.  Hockaday going for 3rd in U20, Cressell had a great run, Lemley for 5th, Barkett for 5th.

Hockaday looking insane. Kaleb Larkin beat Jesse Mendez when he won a Senior level freestyle tournament in November. He just teched 2-time AA Kolodzik and went to the wire with Yianni D at Olympic Trials. Hockaday falls to him, 8-7. Dude's becoming a bona fide beast

Different Larkin, but Hockaday nevertheless had a great run. Beat the Penn State kid that upset Braeden Davis the round before. Also beat Cory Land who I believe has a medal at an age group World Championships and will contend for AA honors in D1 in the next couple of years.

Can we talk about Peyton Schoettle for just a minute? He placed 8th at U17 51 kg… blood round match was against Shamus Regan… and beat him 7-6. Oh, not sure who he is? Just a Fargo National Champion and a prep National Champion. Beyond that, just a ridiculous resume of accomplishments.
