Johnathan Spencer
How will kids be notified if they advance to frosh-soph state in 2 weeks if they didn't place top 8? I believe they are taking top 12 in each weight class, right?
Schmaltzy133
Yes, they are taking the top 12 from each qualifier (North and South) and top 8 from Indy Nationals. Edited February 13, 2018 by Schmaltzy133

leggin89
Any participant that was in the blood round (the round before placement) will automatically qualify. This round is called the round of 12.
Taylor83
This was a great event and very well organized last year. We are very thankful we went there last year. I strongly encourage whoever can attend do so. Irish2333
BrodyHardcastle
I was kind of confused by the flyer. What is the weight allowance, and the weigh-out on the first day??
Taylor83
There is a two pound weight allowance from Saturday to Sunday. After the weight class is done on Saturday they wrestlers can weigh in for Sunday. You can 'make weight' for Sunday on Saturday evening and not have to make weigh Sunday. If you are over on Saturday you can come back Sunday morning and weigh. Hope that makes sense.

Yes, that helped a lot thank you.

Mattyb
Never will get weighing in with shoes on deal??? Not like the have to wrestle right away. Doesn’t speed things up. Just really silly. I guess it is kind of cool to see big guys jamming feet into their little brothers shoes with. I laces in them. Stooge
So, I know some kids who already qualified wrestled at Indy Nationals this past weekend. Assuming some might have wrestled up a weight class and if they did well are entered as qualified wrestlers twice. Do they just need to state the weight class they intend to wrestle (assuming they will take their best seed) at time of registration and payment? Then they will be removed from the other weight class??
