The coach does not count in the Session spectator level, currently set at 1,000 per session. We estimate 250-300 participants per session, and a normal spectator count is about 2.2x this number, well within limits.

You are correct: Session 1 is for 106-145 and Session 2 for 152-285. If you are a 152 pound wrestler and you "think" you might make the 145 pound weight class, you may come to the morning weigh-in session and make an attempt. This is on the honor system. Cash vs. Electronic. I believe at this point that Southport H.S. has worked out an Electronic payment system (and cash option). More details later today or tomorrow. Mark

Congratulations to the 258 Freshmen and Sophomores who qualified for their IHSAA Semi-States ... of the 896 Semi-State spots. Good luck on Saturday at your respective IHSAA Semi-States. They have been imported into the Indiana Frosh-Soph State Championship with a "3" Separation Criteria (similar to seed). These wrestlers are not permitted in the North or South Frosh-Soph Qualifiers. Advancement to the Semi-State Quarter-Finals changes the Separation Criteria to "2", and State Qualifiers become a "1". Congrats in advance to any IHSAA State Place-winners ... they will be removed from the Frosh-Soph event. Good luck to all.

Yes. Singlet and Shoes with a 4 pound allowance. Any weight class changes (up or down) will be made at the scales with no fee, with seeding criteria unchanged. Upon completion of the weight class at the end of the day Saturday we have weigh-outs and an additional allowance of +2. We expect everyone to make weight as they have in the prior 3 years. If so, no weigh-in’s on Sunday. Saturday morning it’s Pay-at-the-Door, $25, and proceed directly to the Fieldhouse Floor for skin checks and weigh-ins.
