I also want to know what happened to Cardinal Ritter. They had a pretty good sized roster at the beginning of the season and they should have returned stud State Placer Josh Johnson.

Also the trainers asked me if I was ok, and I replied that it wasn’t my head, I just landed on my neck weird. I never even had the thought of taking the match from him like that. I have too much respect for him and his father to ever do that.

Your original post stated "Cathedral, Guerin Catholic and Brebeuf Jesuit are examples of privately owned schools with no set boundaries, no parish subsidies and no direct feeder schools."
We do not get parish subsidies for a number of reasons, number 1 being the parishes believed a new Catholic high school in the area would hinder families donations to the church.
We do operate more like Roncalli, Chatard, etc. in the fact we have strict boundaries set by the Lafayette Diocese and we have direct feeder schools.

As previously discussed many times, Cathedral is NOT a parochial school. EMD, Evansville Memorial, Roncalli, Scecina, Cardinal Ritter, Bishop Chatard, Andrean, and Providence ARE parochial schools with defined boundaries and parishes which subsidize tuition. They have established feeder schools and parishes.
Cathedral, Guerin Catholic and Brebeuf Jesuit are examples of privately owned schools with no set boundaries, no parish subsidies and no direct feeder schools.

Shout out to Roncalli's Michael Fletcher (195) who entered the tournament at 4-12. He defeated 5 seed Mt. Vernon's Blake Ritzert (was 15-1) and Trinity's Ryan Martin (was 10-3 and a KY State Qualifier).

Both are improved but neither should be ranked. FC only went 2-3 at the Harrison Duals while Brownsburg, Roncalli, and unranked East Central all dominated and went 5-0.

One of the Roncalli dads mentioned to me that East Central would probably go undefeated on Saturday; I will admit I didn't know much about them outside of the wrestlers that have participated at the NCSS. Also they had plenty of excitement from the wrestlers when one of their teammates were wrestling; it was fun to see them act as teammates and not individuals.
Brownsburg just kept putting wrestlers on the mat that were impressive. I have followed them intensely the last 4 years so I know what type of talent they have lost to graduation, but the current team is as formidable as any team in the Midwest. They have a very daunting schedule, so they will have plenty of opportunities to flex their muscles/abilities.
Roncalli potentially could have 7 State qualifiers between 106 - 152, and if they can continue to develop their upper weights come the EMD Holiday Classic / Team State they could make life difficult for any team. On Saturday they didn't lose at 106, 113, 126, 132, 145, and 152 -- I expect that to be the norm for the majority of their matches.
Good day for Indiana High School wrestling!!

FC118 got a reaction from nkraus in Indiana HS Alums at Maryville Kaufman Brand Open
I noticed that a couple of freshman wrestlers met in the Maryville Kaufman Brand Open finals in the amateur division at 174 pounds. In a re-match from last year's IHSAA State Finals 3rd/4th place match, Derek Blubaugh (UIndy via Bloomington South) gained a bit of revenge by defeating Elijah Mahan (Lindenwood via Roncalli) 12-6 in the tournament finals. Mahan defeated Blubaugh 13-10 to capture 3rd at 170 pounds at State last season.
