Really surprised more coaches haven't registered their kids. This is an opportunity for JV kids to get mat time. Unless everyone is waiting until Friday?

Totally agree. Should have set this the way the Wrestling Coaches want it and show IHSAA that it could work.

poppe66 got a reaction from ACMSBagubas in Middle School Dual Weigh in
As a middle school coach who is not in the school, it is difficult to have to get to the school in the morning to weigh kids. I I wish we would do weigh ins at the meet. We need to teach nutrition and wrestle kids in the weight class that best suits them. I have had the same issue of the honor system not really working and opposing coaches giving their kids a few pounds or so. Also, I really wish we would set the same weight classes for the whole state.

poppe66 got a reaction from Russian in Girls Regionals Scoring
I love that they let teams enter multiple girls in a weight class. I just wonder why the North and South don't keep teams scores the same way. The North allows all girls on a team in the same weight class to accumulate team points, where the South made teams designate the scoring wrestler and then the others were blockers. I believe the South did it correctly which gave more teams a chance to be in the hunt to win the regional.
