I do think Penn can be better next year. I think adding Harper and Vargo both who I think can medal as freshman helps. Bennett, Harper, Denton and Hollyfield are a strong strong senior class. I think all 4 are possibly medal hopefully they can avoid the injury bug.

Vinny Freeman medaling at 182 can be in the mix but for a title will need to continue to develop and possibly miss Veazy

everybody should be excited about their chances next year but also don’t count out the Cavemen

I'll Vouch right now Vargo is Top3

Only due to my relative being involved... Randle's only loss that season was to Steven Gonzales at the first dual tournament of the season, I believe to score was 3-1 or something close to that. Randle avenged it at Semi-State with a last second TD. The regular season of this weight class was insanely back-and-forth and went something like an old Freestyle round-robin tourney:

    Gonzales beat Randle

    Randle beat Campbell

    Todd beat Gonzales

    Campbell beat Todd

I'd hate to have been the rankings guy that year

You're right it might've been the year before, Your brother was a hammer too.

No Brenden Campbell mention yet? 2x runner-up, third place finish, and an injury default out of the tourney as a freshman while ranked first. Only losses in his career at 201-6 were to runner-up Paul Beck, 3x champion Kyle Ayersman, champion Mason Todd(2x), champion Paul Petrov, and sadly one more as a sophomnore I can’t track down.

He lost it the conference Finals when he was very sick but no excuse he was beaten by Huntington Norths Nick/logan Randle at the NCC championships keeping BC from being a four-time conference champion! BC had beaten him pretty handily earlier in the season for losing to him at conference. What's even crazier is that was Randall's only loss going into State at 41-1 and he would lose a heartbreaker 4-3 to Mason Todd in the first round... That 112 bracket is one of the most loaded brackets I've ever seen in the state finals history... What's even more wild is semi state that year Campbell won, the top four were Campbell, Todd, McKinley and Harvey. That is three state champs and a two-time runner-up all in the same semi state LOL.. Campbell lost to the state champ back 2-0, but that bracket had so many legendary guys that I'm going to have to post it.

  4. NC Trojans Alone

    B. Campbell-3, 2,2 Fargo AA

    #8 all time Indiana wins@201-6

    C.Mullins-4x placer- 5, 3,2,8

20+ ISWA state titles, Super 32 AA

    #16 all time wins@191-11

AJ black-2x Runner up didn't even get wrestle senior year

    Matt Jagger's-state runner up 4xSQ/3xplacer 7,5,2,

    #5 all time@210-12

Terrell Coatie Perry/NC-didn't start wrestling until High School, and became one of the most feared athletic specimens I've ever seen, went on to be a new Castle semi-state Champion pinning two time state champ Danny Williams, and then beating the state runner up Conkling and the same season, placing at the state finals himself and hardly three years of training.

Mac Taylor -4x medalist 6,5,3,3, held national wins record

And now #4 in Indiana @221-8

Then A few my favs from other schools..

Aaron Sessa-2x runner up and who Tylin reminds me of doing stuff you can't teach, and fireworks every time he was on the mat.

Then here's few my other favs.

Andy Uhl, Nick Hobbs, Logan Boe, RayRay Rioux, Timmy Bradley

  5. Along with their coaches @New Castle, just lead NC to it's first Top 5 Team finish since 02'.. Grant it, lil Gary and my 02' squad was 5th at Dual Team State, this is even more impressive and imho the greatest day in NC wrestling history!

Yes we have had 8 to state with 6 Placers in 96 and 95 a 42-0 disk team and a individual state champ with a team runner up finish 2x but there's not 1 guy in those teams that don't feel like they under achieved.

This team has battled all season , taking 2nd at Spartan classic having multiple FFs, Had a respectable showing at conference, won our first Sectional since 2016', and we owe to take that for granted having won 30+ consecutive Titles at 1 point..

Lost 1 of Captains and leaders on a slam call in regionals, who was

32-1 ranked #12 and on fire Maiden, very well could've been with these 3 studs had things not happened the way they did! Whitehead overcame a brutal leg break that cost him his entire sophomore season, then had really debilitating hip injury that he battled through and placed 6th in the state finals!

Brevan and Tylin Thrine become the only ever NC bros to the semis, As Brevan caps of a Legendary career with a 4th place medal, to go with his Freshman/sophmore state title, 2x State finalist/placer, 4x sectonal, 3x regional,2 HHC Champ..a unreal HSA career RECORD @146-11 !!

Tylin breaks all Mullins/NC freshman records running the table going

42-0 beating 5 of the top 8 Medalists, And beat 7th place finisher  Ingalls 2x, Pinned EC legend Blake wolf twice and pinned State FINALIST Aquino 2x in emphatic fashion!!

Our Fan section was booming and Us old head Wrestlers are beyond proud! Thank you boys/coaches, I love y'all!

Tasmanian Devil is a more apt caricature. I wouldn't bet against him introducing chaos.

Like I told @blue and gold what makes him so dangerous is, if  you couldn't see the score and had no context on a match and it's score, you could never tell if Ty was up 10 or losing my 10 because he's Enjoying himself and never 1 time that I've ever seen, just quit or let a moment get the best of him...

Plus, regardless if I was a NC

Trojan or a Yorktown Tiger, I'm a Wrestling fan first, and Ty has never been in a boring match..

His big bro Brevan and brother from another mother, Gavyn also are Nothing but fireworks to watch!  I gotta feeling All 3 NC boys will have fun matches no matter the result.

  8. I agree with the Ruhlman Lock!!!

TTITUS WATERS & All 3 my Trojans

Ty,Gav and Brev are all going to put on a show! THE NC/MC connection have a  combined record of  151-6 between the 4 of them, and I want to  a shout out to my Guy @Mattyband his man child COMPETING this weekend, I don't think he's going to let me get any of those Power Potion PB&Js though😂

I'm rooting for Bollinger and My Delta peeps as well!

If all of the fellas I mentioned Have a damn good chance to all bring home hardware as long as they all enjoy themselves and wrestle their best 1 match at at time! The four of them have a combined record and all are great students on top of being wonderful human beings.

I’ve believe several of Thrine’s opponents have said the same thing when he puts them on their back out of nowhere.

He's got another gear, the presence of mind he had to turn the corner after that body lift and run through that finish was disgusting.. The week before wolf shot a outside single, Ty lifted that leg to make wolf whiff and he commenced to Finish it quick.. the 10-3 Dec over Ingalls is the only match this year he didn't get bonus points, 34 pins, 2 maj, 1 tech and that 10-3 dec

Bollinger still undefeated…wrestling lights out right now. Don’t know if anyone can stop his offense.

Yessir, he's a treat 2 watch!! My boy Jaggers told me last week he'd beat Horn, I'm sure we'll see i that match

     again next weekend!!

Hansen and Lowery both represent us southsiders at Roncalli. You’re crossing enemy lines with those words. Wrong person sees that that and you might be asking for it. Haha

The Thrine brothers are fun to watch. Enjoyed watching them wrestle today.

That was a typo, I apologize I deserve to be called a Yorktown tiger for this! Thank you, you're doing great things there broski
