man i remember that match a very OMG moment indeed.
In hindsight Angel being so good that slight moment he looked like he was going to his back probably was only a half a second but in that moment it seemed like a lot longer LOL

The day somebody links me to a video of Angel Escobedo vs. Shane Perkey, you have automatically become an ally for life.
Have you ever seen it? Or wanting to? My photographic memory has it on file but that doesn't do you any good lol

You want 2 dogs that don't quit with a wild battle but a natty title ? Then you're in luck with
2x State champ from the LN wildcats Case Hooper vs SCOTT CHAPMAN (class of ’93). A member of a small group of 3x California state champions, Chapman also earned two All-American honors at the Cadet Nationals and was National Champion. In addition to earning two ASICS All-American honors, he was an AWN Magazine and WUSA Dream Team All-American.

So the past week I've been following the NHSCA YouTube Page , and they have been posting the championship matches from NHSCA Nationals from the early 90s and on.
This is 1 of the states all time greats, East Chicagos Big David Maldanado in the finals vs Jon Frent (Nj State Runner up/ went on to wrestle Division 1 and have Scholarship in his honor
For VA Cavaliers) Maldanado was so Smooth with that thigh Tap/ pick! Him and Angel def have the cleanest 1s I've ever seen out of their front head series.. You can tell Maldanado had a impact on Da Regions all time Greats!

I remember Showbiz, I remember a bear, and I think a gorilla was playing drums. Back in the 80s dad brought two rolls of quarters to showbiz and four kids had a ball!
YESSIR, and us OGs had shiners and thick ass necks from always hitting our heads off the booth table from having to climb under so the Parents didn't have to keep getting up lol

If you're needing a Bouncer to keep everybody in line, you can pay me in Tokens!
Not to trying one up everybody and act like a big timer but who do you all think taught Chuck E cheese how to follow through on his pop a shot shooting form? Who' to think taught Chuck E cheesehow to systematically dispatch his opponents in ski ball, and how to play the guitar while not letting his ego get him any more big headed!
who do y'all think, Gave them the Go Ahead on the Changing the Name to Chuck E Cheese from its original name
SHOWBIZ PIZZA?? yep yours truly!?! Had I not drowned That Bum Barney the Dinosaur in the ball Pit and Blast doubled Baby Bop through the salad bar, I would own the place!
I stayed around more tickets than traffic court abs scalpers combined!!
And yes it was called Showbiz pizza once upon a time.

Let's hear it for number 2 and 5 in the country at 182!
And let's hear it for everyone that went out there in search of the best competition they could find in freestyle trying to better themselves for the folk style High School season! But that is extraordinary having two guys in the top five at the same weightclass that is wonderful. Plus even those kids that didn't bring home hardware, Still got to wrestle on biggest stage of their lives, gain experience and most of them picked up Wins and I'm sure had a great time bonding with their ppl..

Didn’t notice any nationally ranked wins but pretty sure the Fretwell kid he beat from Florida was at one time. Hockaday pinning Desmond was the biggest win for an IN kid this weekend so far.
His loss to cook was a scoring error they didn't give him 2 and nobody caught it is what I'm being told.
He beat multiple state Champs
Was the only person to beat
Fretwell the Florida 2xer and a fargo all American taking 3rd in Greco-Roman and 5th place all American finish at NHSCA Freshman Nationals.
Beat Eddy Redecki who is Delawares first ever 8th grade HS state champ who's a 3xer now and All American at NHSCA sophomore Nationals taking 6th in a monster bracket.
Beat SD state champ that's a 3x placer going 1,2,4 and a AAU national champ Hurd.
Beat 2x placer Ohio stud k.Lambers
who's placed 3rd and 8th.
Best Nebraska state champ and runner up Stusse Jr.
Beat Missouri State runner up 3x placer Roth 2x.
Glad he's getting some tough of season matches, especially coming off having a Lil knee ailment this summer. But all is well.

That is a whole bunch of wrestling.
Yessir, he also won USA FOLKSTYLE Nationals without surrendering a point, then turned around and went to USA FS and GR Nationals and got true 2nd in both.
So 1st,2nd,2nd in all 3 styles. He didn't get that natty Triple crown he was wanting but we couldn't be any more proud.

Braylon Reynolds
Jensen Boyd
Peyton Hornsby
Evan Stanley
Will all be on the podium, calling it now.

Thank Coach Watkins!
Pendoski is misspelled often and still pronounced "Pen DOW ski"
Grandpa Pendoski was kind enough to pass on baldness and the last name without the "W" in it.
Congrats Coach P!! Couldn't think of a better leader than yourself speaking of, I heard you appointed Nate Pickle, Jeremy Motl, and myself as the Hospitality Room security!
After you brought Your stud, Major up to introduce him to Nathan and I at semi state and going about the good old days when you might or might not have seen few of the 90s NC savages, nearly bounce guys heads up the bottom of backboards trying to throw ppl.
Wish I would've taken a pic of Look on his face when you told Lil Major some of the old school NC Stories about those being meanest teams you'd ever seen. He didn't know where the smile or be horrified that you were so giddy about it
