  1. Is it similar to the Joe Theisman leg breaking incident :'(
  2. Congrats to Andrew, the Howe family, and Coach Petrov and the Hanover Central wrestling family....
  3. Fantastic news for both young men.... I was on the mat next to one of the incidents and it was a tough situation for all involved. Glad to hear they are doing better and kudos to the medical staff that tended to them so promptly!
  4. I will only compete if they have a 50 year old wheelchair division
  5. Prevented? I'm in line for a Master Card commercial.... *Vasectomy reversal..... $5000 *Invitro fertilization (x2)...... $20,000 *Having a child at age 50.... priceless! Well, OK, maybe not priceless, but at least expensive We spent $25K for something that will cost us roughly a million dollars over the next 20 years, so I hope he/she is at least two millions dollars worth of fun and excitement PS A special thanks to Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield for paying $2.17 for the two Valium tablets prescribed to us before the last procedure. Without you, we couldn't have done it. >
  6. I'm for "D"... no change, but if we changed I would go with Option B.
  7. Is this an open tournament, or just for Purdue-Cal students as an in intramural activity?
  8. Yep.... October 19 due date! Oh well... at least we'll get good financial aid for college, as I'll be on a fixed income in 2029 when college rolls around
  9. That's what I thought.... my "last" turned 16 on Saturday, and then my wife told me that she is due in October ??? How's that for a 50th birthday gift ;D
  10. RIP Steve and prayers to the Siokos family
  11. You both have grey hair... you have more hair, but he has more grey hair.
  12. Anthony was present supporting his teammates.
  13. Kudos to Broadcastsport.net for their fine coverage.
  14. I believe the total number available for the State Wrestling Finals is less than this number, as the entire section down near Mat 4 is pushed in and not available in order to accommodate the 4 mats on the floor. The director of facilities informed me, though, that it was still in the neighborhood of 14,000 during the state finals.
  15. I like reading DNR for two reasons... 1. His thoughts are usually entertaining 2. His spelling is always entertaining (ie... "weather" (whether) you like me or hate me...... )
  16. Very well said, and I would encourage you seniors to consider getting your officiating license and staying close to the sport that you love. Info on how to become licensed is available at http://ihsaa.org/dnn/Officials/tabid/85/Default.aspx Good luck!
  17. Rough-house Basketball.... no fouls, no traveling, no double dribbling, and pretty much no rules. Kind of like Rugby with a basketball and everyone kept their own individual score. The only rule was that there was no standing... you had to keep moving the entire 45 minutes. The bigger guys usually won
  18. A first class young man from a first class family. Good luck at Purdue!
  19. Nice job Drake and the Princeton wrestling family.... Chuck B, Princeton Community HS 1978
  20. After working out with Y2 daily, you have to get big, strong and tough.... else you pay the price PS You also stay ripped, as Joe doesn't share his cookies!
  21. You gotta love the info that a Tom Heckman can supply
  22. Good to see Tech back at the show. Congrats Arthur and Coach Mendoza!
  23. Mater Dei coach Mike Goebel, to the official during the heavyweight match...... I realize (Chuck) that these guys are as quick as greased lightening, but do you think you get around there at least once and catch that locked hands? Gibson Southern coach John Barnett, to official Steve Hunter.... Geez.... how long does it take to call a fall in Cicero? Down here in southern Indiana it's only two seconds!
