to piggy back off this, ft Wayne now hosting kids nationals, central regionals, and IHPO also brings high levels of competition to our kids back yard allowing them to see what they are up against down the road

I think the local kids that put in all the extra work @ these facilities & take that culture and mentality back to their respective high school rooms also

is a big influence not just on their high school team but the area in general.  Madman Wrestling needs added to that list also.  Great room to be in during the summer months.

  4. With Indiana Tech & The Fort, I believe the kids are learning at an early age to have a college wrestlers mentality and to wrestle with a bit of aggression & passion.  That is one thing I noticed at the National tournaments and the tournaments in and around Indy & with the high Schools that are very successful.   They have that “edge” to them.  Looking forward to see how the Fort Wayne Semi State does this year.  I truly believe we opened some eyes last year and we are not necessarily the draw you want Friday night.

    Riley Lefever

Agree on Riley Lefever.  My son Owen wrestled with him at Wabash.  Owen made it to Nationals his freshman year in (2017 placing 7th All-American) and Riley was going for his 4th Title that year.   He was 35-3 and had only lost to D1 wrestlers (but beaten more than he lost to).  I have never to this day seen a more dominant wrestler.  We just knew he was going to win every match.  Coming into the Championship bout we needed Riley to pin his guy for us to get 3rd as a Team.  He went out and looked like he wanted to enjoy the moment for a period then he pinned his guy in the second period and Wabash was 3rd ahead of Johnson & Wales  62.5 to 61.5.  Just an incredible accomplishment for him and the whole Wabash team and fans.  What was even better was at the after party, as the fans and coaches and wrestlers were having the time of our lives and passing the NCAA Team trophy around, I found Riley and my other son Easton, then 11 years old,  in the corner of the restaurant talking at a table about wrestling.  Riley was asking Easton about his recent tournament and asking him how many take downs he had and how many points he scored.  Not just a great wrestler but a great human being!!!

    DaRat here,

Sorry a bout da missing in action. I locked myself out of my old account. I truly miss my my wraslin family. I promise I will create some havoc on da board. Yes it is truly boring.

Speaking of dat - some fine wraslin in dog town this weekend. Will be Nice to see da Macort team - Bo Basset Hound and crew.

Maybe Y2 you can hook me up on my old account ? It really stinks to be at post #1.

I need to get my bearings strait. I retired years ago but da won't leave me alone. Hard to believe some one who graduated with a 1.5 gpa is keeping da mill operating. About ready to tell them no more - but what is worse spending time with the Mrs Rat.

With Center Grove and Crown Point being separated by 3 points on the Power poll (134-131 in favor of CP)I thought it would be good to consider the dual match.

Pretty close match, If everyone is available.

    106: #7/#2 Teigan Newell(Crown Point) ----------#13/#6 Justus Thrasher   -------------CP-4 <<<<CG-0 Major

    113: #4/#1 Gavin Lewis(Crown Point)-------------NR Jeremiah Argbah? ------------------CP-10 <<<CG-0PIN

    120: #2/#1 Gavin Jendreas(Crown Point)---------#1/#1 Charlie Larocca -----------------CP-10 >>>>CG-3 DEC

    126: #2/#1 Landon Hawkins(Crown Point)--------#10/#4 Dominic Brown ----------------CP-13 <<<<CG-3 DEC

    132: #13/#4 Sonny Sessa(Crown Point)----------#3/#2 Eddie Goss  ---------------------CP-13>>>> CG-9 PIN

    138: #4/#1 Clinton Shepherd(Crown Point)-------NR William Vander Luitgaren-----------CP-19 <<<<<CG-9 PIN

    144: NR/NR Oscar Baca(Crown Point)------------ #1/#1 Reese Courtney ----------------CP-19 >>>>>CG-15 PIN

    150: #10/#3 Evan Cruz(Crown Point)-------------#1/#2 Wyatt Krejsa--------------------CP-19 >>>>>CG-21 PIN

    157: #10/#3 Kaptur Nowaczyk(Crown Point) -----#4/#1 Silas Stits ----------------------CP-19 >>>>> CG 25 Major

    165: #1/#1 Anthony Rinehart(Crown Point)--------#15/#3 Sean Breedlove ---------------CP-25 <<<<<CG 25PIN

    175: NR/#7 Aiden White(Crown Point)--------------NR Julian Weems /Miguel Flores----- OPEN---WEEMS PINS WHITE. IF NOT CP 3

    190: #14/#4 Austin Reading(Crown Point)---------#3/#2 Noah Clouser ----------------- CP-25>>>>> CG-31 PIN

    215: #1/#1 Will Clark(Crown Point)------------------#3/#1 Kaden McConnell ------------CP-28 <<<<<<CG-31 DEC

    285: #1/#1 Paul Clark(Crown Point)-----------------#4/#2 Tyler Schott------------------CP 31 <<<<<<CG -31 DEC

    Some unknowns that factor in.

Is Weems out for the year or until break? This is the difference of 6 for CG or 3-6 for CP.

CG 113 has switched and not sure on starter. no matter they will have there hands full.

@138 If CG could avoid 6 points that would be huge.

Heavy weights I think Clarks can both win here. I'll not be surprised if there is a decision that swings to CG @ 215 or 285 either.

Cp wins 7 matches possibly 8 but I think CG has more potential for Bonus points.

    This match needs televised somewhere!!

Not many have a line-up 100%. Why do we always take that into account. You wrestle with the best you have available. Could you imagine if we did that with other sports? When someone loses its a loss and they drop in rankings. We shouldn't rank or seed teams for their potential line-up. Teams should be rewarded for having a solid replacement.
