Nick weighed 128 yesterday at practice. He'll be 126 this year. -

No surprise to anyone in the southern half of the state. Only 1 loss last year. Unfortunately for him it was in the ticket round at the SS. This kid is a stud!

Chris Wildeman was 145 lb. runner-up his junior year and 145 lb. Champion his senior year. His only loss the last 2 years was championship match his junior year.

Not so fast.....What about Johnson, Schweitzer, Seng, Clem and about a 1/2 dozen other guys that can compete and win a spot in that weight range?

Why wouldn't home schooled students be allowed to do this at private schools? I can't think of any rational argument.

Will Egli completed the Triple Crown this weekend at Cadet 106. He'll Join Nick Lee and several other outstanding freshman at Mater Dei this year.

CJ Red lost in quarters to Iowa's 3A High School Champion 7-4.

Will Egli from Mater Dei will be a Beast. He won Cadet 106 at ISWA State last week as an 8th grader.

Will the 3rd place kids be contacted if one of the top 2 opt out or can not participate?

Congratulations to the kids from Mater Dei. They took 12 kids and finished in 2nd place with 179 points, 12 points behind Perry Meridian (30 Kids) for the team title. They had 7 total placers. Michael Boots, Kurtis Wilderman and Clay Egli finished 5th. Dawson Matherly finished 4th. Kyle Luigs and Wyatt Montgomery finished 3rd, and Will Egli finished 2nd. 2 kids lost in the ticket round and the others all won at least 2 matches.

Will Egli will be a beast this year at 102-110. He was IHSWCA Middle School Champion as a 6th grader. Got 3rd last year behing CJ Red and Cael McCormick. Both are in high school now.
