  1. Your beliefs are correct. Ugly quarterfinal round for FWSS.
  2. Not a long streak yet, but this will be year 10 for me. Haven’t missed a Ft. Wayne semi state or state finals since the first year I attended them. I’ve come from Elkhart or Mishawaka each time.
  3. I hate reading this. Hope you have smooth recovery, General.
  4. He was second, as was Taylor Grubb of Prairie Heights at 215, who lost in the ticket round that day.
  5. So it’s settled! Who else is signing up for the veteran 167.5 lb weight class at ISWA state?
  6. I have no ill will toward Hardcastle. He wrestled great all Saturday, with a very tough road to the championship. And with the way he was wrestling, maybe he would have beaten Beeks if he could’ve continued the match. Regardless, this was a really, really crappy way for a talented senior’s season to end.
  7. 113 - Elijah Anthony vs. Cheaney Schoeff That’s a very tough one for the first round.
  8. Jeremiah Harvey - Culver Community 2011 Eli Stock - Monrovia 2017(?)
  9. Ester has just as good a shot as about 5 or 6 others to come out of Saturday as the 120 champion. Possible for sure, but I’m not betting against him. I’m thinking not. I expect Jimtown to be represented in Indy next week. Thor called out my trickery on that one. It was a reference to Teusch.
  10. I can’t speak for 2022-2024, but I know these next two years run the risk of not being ranked out of spite...
  11. You get runner-up four out of the next five years.
  12. • 120 will have a minimum of four on-paper upsets, but I’m thinking a couple more. • A school who has been doing very well here for multiple years will not get a single state finals qualifier. • Two undefeated wrestlers will lose in the ticket round. • A BIG upset occurs, one that nobody in this thread has or will predict. • I guarantee a #1 ranked wrestler will not qualify for the state finals. • I will get a better score on these pick ems than I do New Castle(bolder than it sounds).
  13. I’ll give Northwood a shout out. Today at Goshen they had three 4th placers from last weekend take out the Westview sectional champions, and all three went on to place third, avenging losses from last week’s third place matches.
  14. I was just thinking the other day about how glad I am that there wasn’t a combined Elkhart team my first couple of years in high school. That 2012 Elkhart Memorial team with all the Central studs(3 SQ, one placed 2nd) on it would have hung tough with any team in the state.
  15. What a shame. I remember a few years ago on here a bunch of people were saying Steveson wild major Parris and I’ve always thought it would be much closer. Was looking forward to finding out.
  16. Making predictions = slimy individual. Got it. Time to discontinue the pick em contest.
  17. Wrestled between 145-160 from eighth grade to senior year(2014). A year and a half ago I would have been wrestling 220, but now I’m back down to the 170 class, and could make the cut back to 160 pretty easily.
  18. It wasn’t the toughest at the time, but when you look at all the eventual resumes of 2016 106, it is pretty hard to top. Cayden Rooks(2x champ, runner-up) and Andrew Black(2x runner-up) didn’t make it out of semi-state.
  19. Thank you. I saw he was back there the other night and was wondering where he’d land.
  20. The 120 and 126 watch lists are pretty wild also. There are about five kids at each weight who are incredibly close to the #8 spot.
