I feel like he needs to go back to his roots. Wrestle the way he used to with the style we know that made him...him! Underhooks, pace, forward pressure, hand fighting. I feel he's become too scared of the counters and Taylors game in general, that he is forgetting about himself. I'm not saying he will 100% win if he does this. But I guarantee he will score points and has a better chance, and will be mentally in a much better place and give Taylor a proper match. More like match 1, 2, and 4. Add A bit of mat strategy and caution when required. He can become double Olympic champ-which ultimately is what really matters right? All that matters. Doesn't matter if the h2h is 5-2. If he is Olympic champ then in terms of legacy that will be all that matters, and I bet Taylor would rather have a double Olympic Gold than a positive h2h vs Yaz. It's very possible. Just also a big challenge. Both guys are warriors. I'm not a fan of those who say cause the other loses they suck or their weak etc.2 points

Stevan Micic is a World Champion! Even though he'd already dropped the '21 Olympic champ and the '22 World Champ, the Japanese, Higuchi, that he faced in the final is the consensus most talented 57kg athlete in the world. Higuchi hasn't been able to stay consistently down at the weight since taking silver at age 20 at the Olympics in 2016. He won World gold last year up at 61kg. But not this year. Micic takes out a murderers' row and wins gold!!!2 points -

Also, Sarah Hildebrandt lost today in the semi's & will wrestle tomorrow for Bronze.1 point -
Combine it with the pressure and spotlight he is under, a lot of the non wrestling things in Iran... yeah absolutely. I heard there were 19million people on Instagram live to watch the match alone. Which is insane for a wrestling match. Not including the TV audience. Crazy. But if Taylor is the dominant one in the rivalry (for sure), there is no question who is the draw in terms of popularity. That's Hassan.1 point

a takedown specifically requires you to cover the hips... the hands either on the mat or not out of bounds or not are not a relevant criteria in takedowns, grounded, or out of bounds...1 point

Amir Mohammad is better now. Goleij I'm not sure. He was still pretty upset last night.1 point

Not true. Quite the opposite. Only In Tokyo he was hysterically crying and screaming. Which is different from yelling AT people. He also kicked a chair. But if you are 10 seconds away from being double Olympic champ, all your life's work etc, and lose it last second, given how he always carries himself so well. One moment of indiscretion. I would let him off...1 point -

Watch his first two matches, the pace of attack was 4 or 5 times the 3rd or 4th match, he was attacking at a much more measured pace after the first two matches1 point

What a great run for Micic! Congratulations!1 point -
They are angry and upset as expected. They didn't look themselves at all. Didn't expect them to look as bad as they did. Sidakov done well of course. But it took him a while to get going!1 point

Amouzad is grounded... when one competitor is grounded they are both considered in par terre and no step outs...1 point

From earlier: World championships the year before the Olympics is just as hard as the Olympics. You get every nation's best, at their best--because it's an Olympic qualifying tournament. Stevan Micic is into the gold medal match after knocking off the 2021 Olympic champ and 2022 reigning World champ in back-to-back matches. Our suspicions were correct. He is an all-time great.1 point -

Next up we have 1 of the Most slept on talents in the states history, as well as a great rival to David Maldanado, Decater Centrals James Leavell! (2,1,1) They wrestled 2x in the finals with David winning their first FINALS match and James winning his 1st state title, with it being against the Legend Maldanado and would knock off another legend Venon Cannon .. In this match Leavell displays his pedigree and his Legend vs a 2x NJ State champ at the time who would go on to win 4 EIWA conference titles, have a staggering school record at Penn of 128-17, taking 5th and winning the National title his senior season capping a 34-1 season, legendary Brett Matter! The son of a 2xer Himself and his own brother a AA!!1 point -
I hope he realizes this may be a once in a life time opportunity for an Olympic medal. I personally consider him the top contender0 points
