navy80
Casey Kenney.. 16-2 record and 5-1 in the UFC but he doesn't appear to be ranked. Casey has fought four times this year going 3-1 and his loss coming to the #12 ranked fighter. In high school, Casey got 2nd as a junior and 4th as a senior in a loaded weight class. Nelsen, Raley, Kieffer, Eppert, Johns? Dang he wrestled some of the best at the time. From Indianamat- 2008Win vs. Jacob McCarthy( Mount Vernon (Fortville)) Dec 4-0 Win vs. Paul Beck( Mishawaka) OT 4-3 Win vs. Brandon Nelsen( Lawrence North) Dec 3-2 Loss vs. Ethan Raley( Indian Creek) Dec 7-3 2009Win vs. John Petrov( Hanover Central) Dec 9-2 Win vs. Justin Kieffer( Roncalli) Dec 12-10 Loss vs. Camden Eppert( Anderson Highland) Dec 8-4 Loss vs. Alex Johns( Evansville Reitz) Dec 7-5 He went on to U of Indy and as a redshirt freshman went 22-12. I cant find anything on him after that. Im guessing that's when he went to fighting.
Short Jay
Depending on what rankings site you look at Casey is anywhere from just outside top 15 to mid 20’s. He is looking at getting one more fight in before the new year. navy80

navy80
Kenney 16-2-1 gets a HUGe opportunity against former champ and big name, Dominick Cruz 22-3. Casey needs a good performance because a slip of tongue could get him canceled by the new cancel culture.. Casey was on a podcast interview and was asked a sexual question about a current female UFC fighter. Casey's response was amateur and immature. BUT, the media and liberals attacked him. I can see him getting released from the UFC if he loses or has a poor performance. He apologized and that should be the end of it but we will see. None-the-less, huge opportunity for Casey and people do know his name now!

He easily could have responded in a more respectable way or just declined to answer such a clown question all together. Either way hopefully he learned his lesson about the power of media and good luck to him in what will be a very tough fight

MattM
Kenney came up on the short end of a very close split decision on this one. Definitely some room for interpolation on this one, but Dong gained a slight edge in the judges eyes with his kicks.
