MattM
FloWrestling has released mostly only the finals through their video link to the general public. Here are the Indiana videos from the finals. http://indianamat.com/messageboard/index.php/topic,27087.0.html The FloPro subscription may offer more, but I'm not sure if or when more videos may become available to the general public through Flo or the USA Wrestling YouTube Channel. navy80
Have a question on Fargo......why do so many wrestlers get teched? I mean in placement matches, a lot of finals matches were 1st place over second place 10-
Y2CJ41
The new rules with an increase in the takedown points were a huge reason
FormerHornet
The Cadets and Juniors both represented Indiana well. If Micic would have competed with the Juniors the state may have placed even higher. Without question Indiana wrestling is getting better each year. There are a lot of good coaches in the state now and a lot of programs starting to develop strong traditions. I am excited to see the continued transition.
indyt
Also with LeCount and Winfield with Micic it would have been even better than the 5th place finish that we earned.

I completely spaced those two. Without question you are right Coach those two are studs. Indiana is heading in the right direction for wrestling. Maybe even a top 2 or 3 finish. 1oldwrestler
Illinois, again, ran away with the most AA's in both divisions and styles (just looking at boys). They had 71 AA's, more than doubling their closest competitiors, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin who both had 30 AA's. Illinois had a staggering 13.8% of the AA's. Indiana was just outside the top 10 at the 11th spot with 16 AA's (tied with MD and NJ). Below are the numbers for the top 15 states: State # of AA's State's Population IL 71 12.88 Million PA 30 12.76 Million WI 30 5.72 Million CA 27 38.04 Million OH 27 11.54 Million MN 26 5.37 Million OK 25 3.81 Million IA 18 3.07 Million UT 18 2.85 Million OR 17 3.89 Million IN 16 6.53 Million MD 16 5.88 Million NJ 16 8.86 Million MI 15 9.88 Million GA 14 9.91 Million ID 14 1.59 Million

Having spent an entire HS season in Illinois, I can tell you that it's a culture thing, it really is. The CULTURE of wrestling in IL is just so much different, that's why they are arguably the best wrestling state in the country. In addition, the IHSA in IL cooperates and supports the sport of wrestling in IL, they seem to really respect the history/legacy of wrestling in IL whereas the IHSAA in Indiana.......well.......I think we all know how they feel about wrestling. Nevertheless, Indiana is on the rise!
