Y2CJ41
What is the highest weight a wrestler that is a four-time state qualifier has qualified at as a freshman?
decbell1
Is this a Quiroz question? I am sure that this is not the right answer, but Randy Baker was at 152 his freshman year.
Y2CJ41
Wasn't Baker at 140 or 145 as a freshman?
R. Kendrick
I think Baker was at 45 he had a great match in the semi finals with Robert Rosbottom of Jeffersonville... What about Ian Hinton?

Y2CJ41
Jake O'Brien did not qualify as a freshman. So far Hinton is the winner qualifying at 160lbs.
AC Computer
David Palmer was runner-up at 167 as a freshman. Then wone 167 twice and 177.
hammer
Chris Kaston of Winnamac qualified as a freshman at 215. He'd be my guess.
hammer
Two questions along these same lines: 1. What was the highest weight that a 4-time semifinalist placed in as a freshman? 2. What was the highest weight that a 4-time state placer placed in as a freshman? My guess to #1 would be 167-Palmer. I would also guess that Palmer may be the answer to #2. ENoblewrestling
This is going back a long ways but what about Estell Ritter, from Bloomington. He was a four time champ and I think he started at like 177, he's in most state finals programs
hammer
You probably have the right answer buscowrestling. I should have limited the criteria to the last 50 years. Back when Estell Ritter wrestled, the state brackets were a lot smaller than in the modern era.
AJ
Ian Sperman 1996-1999 all at
AJ
David Palmer was runner-up at 167 as a freshman. Then wone 167 twice and 177. Thought Palmer was 155 as a freshman.
Thornton
AJ you beat me to it. Yes Ian Spearman from Southport was a 4-time qualifier at 215. I think he placed twice. He was a true gentleman and a great competitior. He was the only non-fall registered by DJ Radnovich in his state championship season losing only 4-3 at the semi state in Seymour.
