LittleGiant91
Congratulations to Crawfordsville HWT Dylan McBride on winning the New Castle Semi State! Dylan weighed in around 218 and wrestled 4 guys that were 260+ including the last 3 who were all 6-4 + and pushing the limit. You were a BEAST todayDylan! Enjoy the win tonight and then we'll get focused on winning some hardware at Conseco next week! Coach E. By the way, we've had several State Qualifiers, but Dylan became Crawfordsville's first Semi State CHAMPION since 1985 tonight!

Drooke
Thank you for the info LittleGiant91. And a BIG congratulations to McBride. I was matside at regionals when he wrestled miller in the finals and was quite impressed with the young mans composure. I didn't follow his career this year. But , believe you me I will next. He will have some time to grow into the weight. On a side not I'm sure wrestling with Brock prepared him for this.

swain358
Nelson/Kieffer was something like 3-2 Eppert/Wright was 7-4.. Another really good match.. Eppert was winning 4-3 with just under a minute left in the match.. Wright caught Eppert taking a shot and got takedown and two back points with around 30 seconds remaining.. Eppert goes for reversal and wright fights it off for the remaining 10 seconds.. Good Match

Dingo Brigade
What happened in the Brogden Sullivan match? I believe Brogden got an escape and rode Sullivan out. Just going off memory. Not sure why Harrell was DQ'd. It happened while I was watching another match and I assumed Brogden pinned him quickly.

wrestle4awin
Sullivan cut Brogden - not a true escape and from where I was Brogden appeared to not do much. I also heard Sullivan could not practice all week - too bad for him. Hope he is able to practice this week.
Lemonadez
I think in the Brogden/Harrell match, Harrell got DQ'd for an illegal slam. I was looking at another mat, but it sounded like he picked him up and power bombed him . Also Brogden seemed to be holding his chest in pain (like he got the wind knocked out of him). Its funny, the same sort of thing almost happened in the Phillips/Harvey semi final match with Phillips slamming Harvey. These guys just have to be careful not to make mistakes like that at this point in the season.
TCWrestling
i agree lemonadez, but i didnt think there was a slam in the phillips/harvey match.....it looked to me like phillips knees were on the mat well before harvey hit, he just hit at a weird angle and thats why the ref called it
bbulldog152
The Harrel match didn't look like a slam either same with Bill v Willis at 160 for 3rd. I think the refs made bad judgements based on the sound that was made in all
HOG
I understand it that the Ref made a really bad call in the Harrel / Brogden match. He allowed a potentially dangerous turn dangerous, and it appeared to be a CYA call on his part. That is a shame ecspecially if it is the same guy who made the bad calls all day. In the semis he had the whole crowd letting him know how bad he was.
