  1. what a great person to think after his accomplishment to bring it back to his community to share. great job and good luck in the greco-roman portion of the tournament.
  2. with the huskers entering the conference things should really be fun @ west lafeyette in march. i've already started hotel plans with a group of fellow coaches and former wrestlers. i am sorry if your team did not make this listing. this is my picks of the top 5 teams i feel will fight for the top team spot. vote for your favoite from this group
  3. when in times of doubt i read from the book of proverbs. these are the words given to me when i accepted christ into my life. they are now my signature words to this site. remember to have faith and all things, good or bad, will have meaning. Proverbs 3:5-6 (King James Version) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
  4. what great food for thought. making copies for athletes & parents. will also forward to our coaches in our area. good stuff
  5. a wrestler's prayer o god of power and might your servant jacob grappled with a heavenly messenger... and won. immediately his named changed from jacob to israel, which means 'he who strives with god." in the ancient sport of wrestling, help me strive: not only to do my best, but also respect my opponent and honor the rules. away from the mat, grant my striving be to increase my faith, and my struggles with conscience always prevail unto the good. i ask these things through christ our lord, amen.
  6. They have a permanent spot to practice at Ball State. They are always open to individuals wanting to try out! Please talk them up to any students you know at Ball State.

The test will be given in three parts. PART 1: Pushups = Each individual will have two minutes to do as many proper and correct pushups as possible. PART 2: Sit-ups = Each individual will have two minutes to do as many proper and correct sit-ups as possible. PART 3: 1-mile run = Each individual will start at the same time and complete a 1-mile run as quickly as possible. This test is NOT pass or fail!!!! This is just for the coaches to see where each individual needs to improve or if anyone needs one on one workout time with the physical and athletic trainers Thursday: We will be running in an AGR (Ability Group Run). Each group will consist of the following so start thinking about where you would fall, but the final determining step will be told to you on Tuesday. 9. winning by fall & a tight loss to the european champion isn't a bad showing. what an awesome experience for kayla to be a part of. although goals weren't met she represented indiana and the united states @ an internationally level. not many of us can say that.
  10. it's nice to see he stayed close to home. we meet him 3-4 years back @ iu wrestling camp. he did a great job hanging around to work with kids between sessions. good luck alex

  16. i have to agree on coach jordan being a class act. i went to indiana state coaches clinic when he was on staff with purdue. also got to watch jeff & brother jim wrestle for uw back in the day. st. paris graham is a machine to watch for anyone near the ohio border.
  17. no if 8th graders are being used as fillers for small schools or ones that lack participation it opens the same question for other sports. do you do this for football, track, or other teams failing to fill a roster. yes there is always that super stud kid who may win as a freshman but how often does that happen? does this also reflect that the upper class wrestlers in indiana aren't up to par?
  18. does anyone have contact information on the ball state wrestling club? does is still exist?
  19. also great job ladies @ fargo. awesome video of matches.
  20. thank you for your reply. we will get the word out & we will hit you up ;D
  21. brenden campbell of new castle should be on someone's radar. lost in title bout to ayersman [10-8 ot]
  22. that may or may not be true : the nfhs and ihsaa will more than likely change them again 5-10 years down the line. petitions are great & allows the people of our sport to be heard but the powers above have to listen.
  23. thanks for the update. hate to see a great kid leave the state.
  24. we missed dixon > will you have any other college coaches in prior to winter?
