Agree with Matt, definitely a pin. I was watching that match intently as it was of much interest to me and a boy of mine.  Congrats to Logan on a well deserved win

The kid has been in some national rankings. He won his state title at 152 last year in Michigan. 
The Willis kid from Florida was also in that bracket he is a two timer from Florida. He was also a Tulsa finalist back when.
Jaden Reynolds gave Willis all he wanted and lost a though one 4-3, for 3rd and 4th. Jaden looked good. 
148 was the toughest bracket in my opinion. 
Again, some kids got weight down and came to win. 
 

Great wrestling, a lot of out of state talent, great officiating. Kudos to Joe for running another great tournament. Will be hard pressed to find a better ran national caliber tournament like Joe runs. I’m just sad it was our last one👍

Mendez put on a show too. 
Crown Point, Avon, Brownsburg, EMD, Cathedral, Chesterton, Roncolli, and Mishawaka with multiple placers. Sorry if I missed any other school with multiple placers. 
Only top 4 place. 
Btw... weights were all funky, so take the results with a grain of salt. Some kids wrestled at off season walk around weight, and some kids cut hard. I like that fact. We get to see match ups that we would never get to see in season.

A great matchup I watched this weekend was Lemely va Frazier great match!

Here’s a question...  What’s more difficult to win, State or IHPO?

IHPO because you win 1 match at state and place..A lot of really good wrestlers don't even place at IHPO.. Both are unbelievable feathers in 1s cap and your boy won both.. ...but I see where that's not always true with Carson winning IHPO and not placing at state his jr. year. 

Last year 7 of the 2019 state champions participated
Winning IHPO titles were
Mendez, Moran, Rodgers, Allred, and Brewer

Others
Slivka got 4th and Littell lost to Mendez
In 2017 5 of the champs participated and only Brayton Lee won a title.
Asa Garcia was 2nd behind Travis Ford-Melton
Kris Rumph was 4th
Jordan Slivka was top 6 losing in the semi-finals
Jacob Moran was top 6 losing to Mendez in the quarters
 

Well, since this has been cleared up(lol), my fees for staying anonymous and “trolling” is minimal. Like maybe a couple of those Mama Brewer PBJ’s. I’m not picky, just like to eat.

Just a little advice for you kiddo. 

Here’s an idea... have a designated person near the corner (a challenge expert). Have that person watch the table refs. If the table refs don’t see what the coach sees and don’t score the call differently then the mat ref, I rarely see a call over turned. On the other hand, the vast majority of the calls that I see reversed are seen differently by at least on of the table refs. The coaches are too busy coaching to look at the table refs. With that said... watching table refs can be a great indicator if a call should be challenged.

You gotta figure he really couldn’t ever train full time year round, prior to this year. He was killing it in football and track. Which I’m sure that he does not regret and had tons of fun. As a middle school coach I try to encourage all my kids to do the same. Mason is a great example of what a young well rounded student athlete should be. My kids will hear about Masons journey no less than 10 times a season!  
Now that he is training for wrestling year round and full time, the sky is the limit. Can’t wait to see what the future holds!!

Per the current standings Indiana would be in 9th place as a country in the world right now.

Hidlay’s loss was tough because the 4th point given up was a failed challenge. No challenge and hidlay wins on criteria.

Yup, tough loss. Our second day guys crushed it, with all going for a medal tomorrow. Last I checked we were down 115-100 to Russia .

Five for Five USA in the semi-finals including three big wins against Iran. 

Vito is a beast, and he’s only getting better. Wouldn’t be surprised if he wins 125 or even Olympic redshirts next season. Looking forward to Parris tomorrow, I think his style will be unique against foreign heavyweights. Hopefully he will dump some dudes on their head!

We are blessed to have the majority of major events here in central Indiana. So driving to Evansville or Fort Wayne does not bother me. It’s only fair. Again, just my opinion.
