This gives me an idea for a niche market -- orthopedic wrestling shoes designed for older coaches. All velcro, all white and modeled on the "Shape-Up" tennis shoes that were the craze a few years ago. You'd be able to wear them at practice, then just keep them on for the 4pm dinner trip to MCL Cafeteria at the mall.

I actually hope they do not match up in the Super32, unless it's the championship maybe. There will be plenty of other competition there from other states, and I don't want to see one of them receive a loss at the tourney from a fellow Hoosier. If it does end up with both of them in the same weight class for the high school season this year, perhaps we'll see them under the lights at the Fieldhouse (and hopefully in the championship!)

Yes, I had forgotten about Sage Coy. Thought he was a Muncie kid, is he at Delta now? Tyler Joseph from Portage is another talented wrestler that was doing well then didn't appear in the postseason if I recall correctly. He could do well this year.

Let's hear some names of kids to watch that are maybe not as well known. Interested in some guys that may have been behind a stud on their team, battled an injury last season, or possibly put in lots of work over the summer and is ready to take a big step this year. Let's set some criteria: 1. Did *NOT* make it to semistate last year 2. NOT a freshman this year 3. You believe they can make it to semistate this year If you know the HS / weight class please add that. Let's see which of these pre-season predictions may become reality in Februrary

Troy, curious how you handle age discrepancies. For example, if you have a 85 lb elementary kid that is a 6th grader, do you wrestle him against a 3rd grader that weighs 85? Or maybe a better example is a small 6th grader at 55 pounds versus a Kindergarten wrestler. I am just wondering cause I could envision some mismatches.
