Norwell had two starters out, I believe...one for sure,  but that being said, it doesn't mean results change, and yeah, Oak HIll deserved in.  Oak Hill is always solid and will continue to be solid with the continuity in the program.  You'll be back! ... 2a was tough this year top to bottom, which I'm sure didn't make things easy on the rankers/seeders/vote in.

IMO it's really hard to seed 2a because of stereotypes, such as "They don't wrestle anybody."  Teams can only control their schedule to a certain extent, with conference by laws.  How do you compare a 20-0 team who has wrestled teams to be perceived as below average, compared to maybe a 15-4 team, who has wrestled a really tough schedule?  It's hard to do.

We've been under seeded, and over seeded.  It happens.  It's a tough job, but I think you all do a great job and I'm happy we have this awesome tournament!

That's understandable then. The PA announcer was great at Jay County. Even drawing attention to some key individual matches on the different mats.

It has to be built.   It’s being built.  I know for a fact there’s multiple ISWA state placer winners at the youth level at The Fort every practice.

I also know Warrior has the same thing.   Both main places in Fort Wayne are drawing from different areas, which is going to work out very well for our semi state in the very near future.   I wouldn’t be surprised to see Fort Wayne with more top 4 placers (consistently) in the near future.

Not to mention area programs with their schools clubs have tried to work around the schedules of the bigger “academies.”

This could easily be a thread about the best program without a team state title. There have only been about a dozen schools to win a title in the last 50 years

I'll say this the team that comes in the healthiest will win it. I always say it takes  a lot of luck to win any state title. They just don't give them away. A lot of things have to go right leading up to the duals.

So, a school with 500 will have the same practice partners that a school with 1200 does ?  …Assuming there’s no recruiting , you have a great coaching staff , and great facilities?

You can wrestle a ton out of season and then get to season and have no partners , not the best coaching, and a poor facility for four months …four months is a long time for a 14-18 year old kid.

And, let’s say a top notch coach took over a parochial school and kids were attracted to that …wouldn’t they have an advantage?

I’m a small school dude and LOVE our single class system for individual state, but you’re whacked out of your mind with what you’re trying to come off as on here

John Glenn has had a great season competing for the 2A spot. 24-3 as of today with each of those 3 losses by a one match swing. We had a great dual with Bellmont only losing 43-33. Our kids fight and we haven't faced a team yet that has beaten us by more than 1 match. No one else in consideration for 2A can say that. We believe we have showcased what Glenn is capable of and that we are deserving of the vote in at 2A.
