How many schools were out this week?

Seeing the names of some of these great wrestlers that never were able to add 'State Champ' to their list of accomplishments is part of what makes the Indiana Individual State Wrestling Tournament so great.
 
Becoming a State Champ in Indiana is no easy feat.
 
This is why I took such exception to the thread that got deleted yesterday that was originally titled "Worst State Champ Ever".

From back in the day Hill, Brimm and J. Leavell were all fantastic wrestlers and great opponents. I had plenty of battles with Hill and Brimm at the youth levels and James won his first title the year I took 3rd. If my memory is correct Brimms dad was a great coach he was at every tourney and match with a kind word and big smile for everyone. Was able to run into J. Leavell a couple years ago and we were able to catch up, and still one the best dudes you can meet, always laughing and smiling.

Yes he's a monster.. He's got the tools to win it, but getting past Friday night then Erb will tell us all we need to know.. I like Erb to make the finals if he beats Shafer IMHO but he's got a tall test in front of him figuratively and literally! 

2018 Semi finals Zach Melloh vs Blake Mulkey was the craziest most intense match of the whole tournament that year imo. Melloh wins 3-2 in utb. blake mulkey had the lead 2-1 and had Melloh in a front head lock trying to keep him down, then the ref hits him with a controversial stall call with 5 seconds left on the clock in the first set of 30 second tie-breakers which caused  the match to go in to utb with the score of 2-2. Melloh manages to escape with about 15 seconds left on the clock and makes it to the finals beating mulkey 3-2. Boy did i feel coach Snyders anger from the stands that day. Amazing match either way

Imho the biggest 112 pounder ever Chris Miller 04 champ.. Dude was a smooth explosive machine! He ended up getting into body building iirc, last time I seen him he was JACKED and a good 75 pounds bigger!
