Or those better kids went to a different part of the state in the regular season, beat 3 state qualifiers (1 medalist), but go through a different semi-state so they ran into somebody that was legitimately better than them in the ticket round. When I coached at Mooresville, I had a state qualifier at 132 that returned to that weight for his senior season. He won all his matches at 132 that year aside from losing to Brayton Lee in the finals of Regionals, earning him a 2 seed. Probably the third best wrestler in the semi-state, but he draws into Nick Lee for the Ticket Round. Season over. Career over. Had to watch not 1, not 2, but 3 kids he beat that season medal over him while he sat in the stands, not to mention others he defeated that lost on Friday night. This is a rarity, I understand, but it wouldn't happen near as often if we had true wrestlebacks. 

Dude needs get the laces in the pit and finish it like a man.

2 Good ones from my wrestling days. 
1. A kid drank 10 20oz Surges at lunch. (It was the launch of Surge and they gave them out for free). He passes out and feel down some stairs. (He was alright) 
2.  A kid didn't make the tournament because we actually left the school without him. He was upstairs running and nobody got him. He said he ran for quite a while before coming down and realized we had left.

Great Job!  I am glad you enjoyed it!  It does really make it special for the kids especially for some of those kids on your team that may never get the ability to wrestle at state or under the lights.

Wheeler Wrestling's take on the rage on the stage was a success and fun for all.  Even got some nice media coverage from Jim Peters of NWI times.  Great turnout.  Thanks to both teams for putting on a great event.

It’s true, they even brought in me this year and no luck.

Actual main stream media will be difficult we don't get those for our big meets aside from the county paper and occasionally Indy star. And we are a huge school and a highly touted program I think you'll need someone who knows what their doing that can stream it out. I'm hoping by us doing it more of the younger crew who maybe doesn't wanna coach or ref can do stuff like this to grow and help the sport.

Thanks everyone for the support.  We will update after the meet.  Hoping for great support from the community.  We only have 1 home meet per year so we may as well go all out.

Being a coach and on the floor and in the locker rooms all day, I didn't know those restrooms existed for a number of years.  The first time I walked in I honestly thought I had been transported to a different universe.

Also MD will win the best HS restrooms in the State in the hottest gym . 2 years I went there I was like D@mn....  this is nice!

Love the tradition on the walls .  Absolutely Perfect will miss seeing  that. 
 

I feel the same way. I was just ecstatic to see him competing. We (I) can get caught up in the impersonal business of analysis; but whether that dude wins another title or walks away tomorrow, he won't be any more or less of a hero to us in Indiana.

Huge Thanks to Bloomington South for traveling to southern Indiana on a Wednesday night.  The Final Score was Bloomington South 36 vs Floyd Central 25.  Match count was 7 to 7 with Bloomington winning the bonus point battle.  The atmosphere was awesome with the lights, sound, and state finals announcer Kevin Whitehead calling the action.  The matches were just as exciting as the atmosphere.  It was a great night for wrestling.  We (Floyd Central) are excited about getting to compete in their Regional this year.
Also shout out to the Madison youth program and Silver Creek Middle School (Local Start up team) for coming out and being the opening act.  Just like the varsity there was a lot of exciting matches.
