Jack and Franek wrestled a couple years ago at Folkstyle Nationals...it didn't quite go in Jack's favor, but I know with Welch in the corner....anything is possible.

Eiteljorge starts it off being a late replacement and gets a tough customer in North Dakota State commit Franek. Hopefully he can open it up with a strong performance.

Some great wrestling is just 3 hours away! Hope to see a big crowd supporting the Indiana kids.

As to all the bs earlier , people are always ready to criticize. Well our social today got rain out. We have 3 1/2hrs to kill. How about us coaches try to get all this boys together before the main event. Let's instead of criticizing joe, we actually do something for this young men. We can take them bowling for an hour? Any suggestions?

Thought the interview was great though, nice work. While I'll be rooting for Indiana of course I'm especially hoping Colin Poynter has a bounce back performance and brings his best. Air Force is getting a quality wrestler.

Congratulations to Jordan Rader from Peru for signing with the University of the Cumberlands. He is projected to wrestle 174.

We have a small change to the Indiana lineup. Gleason Mappes has suffered an injury and will be replaced by Jack Eiteljorge of Carmel. Hopefully those Welch boys will have him ready.

I "drew" the starting weight and it was 160lbs. We'll end with Lee vs. Teemer.

Ticket sales are very strong so far. From the reception I have seen we should have a large crowd of 1500+, hopefully I am underestimating the crowd.
This will be a rare time when all of Indiana can come together and cheer on our guys as one big state. When we went to Pittsburgh a couple years ago you could tell we entered a hostile environment.  I hope it's the same way here just in favor of the good guys.

1952 Big 10 wrestling champion from Purdue recently passed away. He was the wrestling coach and Biology teacher at my high school TF North in Calumet City, Illinois. He was a great teacher and beloved as a coach. Recently though long overdue the wrestling room was dedicated to him. I am sure like many coaches he made a huge impact on his wrestlers life. Heaven forbid if you were of Mexican descent and didn't come out for the team. If you didn't play football he had you out for the Cross Country team to stay in shape. Though he coached in Illinois with his Purdue backround I wanted to add this here. As an aside I did not wrestle in high school.
