  2. I posted this on my Facebook page and thought it would be a good place to post here too!

Okay you wrestling people I’m looking for some help here!

Anyone have old videos of the IHSAA State tournament I could use for a project I’m working on. Videos of the crowd, the mats,  different arenas, etc.... from 1960-2020.
Please if anyone has old state finals matches or old parade of champion videos that I could possibly use let me know!

I have found a bunch already on YouTube (1988, 1996, 1999, 2003, 2008, 2009, 2010, etc) but the more the merrier! Anything you might have in a box in the attic that would take you and everyone down memory lane please share with me!

Thanks to anyone here that helps!

  3. Just wanted to say how awesome this was and how much it took for everyone to put this together and for it to turn out like it did was outstanding! This is awesome for our sport and for the growth of girls wrestling! I know our two Carmel girls that wrestled had a blast and is something they wont forget!

Thanks again for organizing this and the support for the growth of the sport!

  4. EVERYONE WRESTLING THIS WEEKEND!!!!

Come get after it tonight with us as we will be fine tuning some things and wrestling some live before the big weekend. Last week we had 40+ with kids from all over. Don't miss an opportunity to get better tonight!

  5. This week we have 4x IHSAA State Placer, and 3x IHSAA State Champion Asa Garcia from Avon High School running our RTC. Asa also is committed to wrestle for the Hoosiers of Indiana University next year! Come show him some love as he may show that roll through cradle to a pin he hit in the state finals!

  6. This Wednesday we will be having Marian University to come in. Coach Steven Bradley was a 3x State Champion in high school for Beech Grove. He was a top recruit going into college and is in the Indiana Wrestling Hall of Fame. Before joining Marian he brought a wealth of experience within the wrestling world to Marian. In his 10 seasons as a collegiate coach, he has helped guide 33 All-Americans, 73 national qualifiers and three national champions. He is now in his third year as the head coach at Marian and this past season they won their first conference championship along with qualifying 9 wrestlers to the NAIA National Championship. Coach Bradley knows his stuff and its a great opportunity to learn from a near by college coach!

    6:45pm-8:15pm

  7. Tonight, there will be no RTC held.

But I will be running RTC at Warren Central tonight from 6:00pm-7:30pm, so for all of you that come join us make the trip over to Warren tonight for a tough room and its FREESTYLE season!

  8. Coach Hinkel had to cancel tonight, but don't worry he will be in another time for RTC.

With some last minute scrambling, tonights new clinician will be 2x STATE CHAMPION, Cayden Rooks from Columbus East.

Cayden is committed to wrestle for the Hoosiers next year and we couldn't be more excited to have him come run our RTC tonight. Come pack the blue room!!!!

  9. CLINICIAN ALERT:

Coach Scott Hinkel will be joining us for our RTC Wednesday, February 27th from 6:45pm-8:15pm

The accolades go on and on for Coach Hinkel. He was an NCAA All-American while wrestling for Purdue University in 1987. He then was an assistant coach for 14 seasons at Purdue before becoming the head coach for 7 years. He was apart of coaching three All-Americans and while there 46 of his wrestlers earned Academic All-Big Ten honors. He now helps out as an assistant coach at Harrison Lafayette High School!

Come pack the blue room and don't miss an amazing opportunity to get better!

Someone asked on the youth forum how many 3 time middle school state champs there were, so I have been going through brackets for a few hours.  So far I can only find 3.

    Jesse Mendez (85, 102, & 125)
    Brayton Lee (90, 110, & 132)
    Drew Hughes (75, 80, & 85)

I think these guys were up there being 3xer but dont quote me on it lol

    Jason Tsirtsis

    Jacob Tonte

    Jarred Brooks

    And I was a 3xer -- 08' (75), 09' (85), 10' (110)

so adding these guys makes for one heck of a list
