My senior year at Lake Central we qualified all 14 to the regional then 12 to the semi-state. We ended up with only two going to state, the ticket round was brutal to my teammates. I remember warming up and one of my teammates had Miracle in the go round and I remember telling him that the whole crowd will be against him and to stay focused...it unfortunately did not work out for us.

I remember it well.  You are right.  Lake Central fans were the only ones in the crowded Merrillville gym not pulling for Miracle.

If it’s this Coach, The Enigma, The “HWT Whisperer” …. He’ll prolly whisper something to his Hwt Dog Pound and they do his light work .  No Doubt, ain’t no parent hands going to knock him out . Yea …. Ima taking the Coach . 
 
If it’s this Coach,  3x Champ  @Kyle Ayersmansome say his Heavy Hands is still as lethal as when he was at Purdue .No parent going to nothing with them hands . Ima going to have to take the Coach. Pssss… Legend around Indiana Wrestling. 
 
If it’s this Coach, @mikemorgan since he does all the results and the dirty work for Synder. Synder comes around the corner with Bat like speed and grabs this parent before they put hands on this Coach . Like Batman protecting Robin ! Ima taking these two Dynamic Duo . Not this time evil BB parent.

Going to be a great day of wrestling!  Looking forward to having so many great wrestlers, teams, and coaches at the Carnahan.  It's exciting to bring a National level tournament to Indiana, and even better to bring all this talent to the Region.  Hope everyone enjoys the event, and is ready to blow the roof off the gym.
 
Coach Snyder, always looking forward to having Brownsburg at the Carnahan, and appreciate you and your team taking a chance on the Carnahan two years ago.  Always fireworks between the Red and Purple Bulldogs, and this Saturday should be no different!

In 2011, my buddies Chad, Doug, and Luke Welch all placed. Chad and Doug won it back to back which was really cool to see. I believe it was Doug patted Chad on the butt after winning it all.
 
This year at Brownsburg, we have the Ison brothers and the Haines brothers in our starting lineup.

Brayton, Nick. Joe, Matt, and Hayden Lee were pretty good

The coaches wanted back into Al Smith.  Al Smith provides the wrestlers with a preview of some of the matches they will get at state.   Carnahan will have similar competition in our own backyard.  Best of both worlds.

Shocked that you guys pulled out of Brecksville. Would see more nationally ranked teams...numbers 6, 8, 17(us), 26, and 28 that's just the top 30. We get to see Davison Michigan(#8) three times this year, pumped to see how our guys perform!

I wanted to get on here to keep you up to date on Coach Steve Balash from Hobart. He has been diagnosed with Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. He is attacking this with great strides! Please if you could keep him in your thoughts and prayers. This would be his 50th year coaching 3 sports (Football, Track, and Wrestling). Right now we are selling shirts with all proceeds going towards his fight!

A couple from Lake Central...Gelen Robinson and James Torres. Gelen was such an animal and would throw it all on line every match. Funny story about James Torres, my dad coached him and James was starring in the stands and my dad asked him what he was starring at and James replied with "Coach Ayersman, do you see that girl up there?". Some guys could be like James Torres whether other guys would be super tight and were only focused on the match.

Y2, as BLF Snow Cone said, Dyer (Dyer High/Dyer Central) was the Indians just as Lake Central is still today. Dyer Central is now where one of Lake Central's middle schools sit.
