The brackets are out on Track. Hayhurst is in at 138. Turner in at 160, and May is at 152. 

After quickly going through the brackets I have it at Central Sectional 39 Castle Sectional 17 +/- a couple. 
I don’t think it’s any secret that the Central sectional is the tougher of the two.
When you have the best team in the state in it along with 2-3 other state caliber teams in their class it makes for a tough sectional. 

Placement definitely matters. Someone may know that they can’t beat the top 2 from the other sectional so they need to get 2nd in their own sectional to avoid seeing those two guys, so it’s smart to try to get to the bottom side of the bracket to try to get to the finals to make your first round regional match easier.

Mater Dei runs away with this, they probably could win it with their JV team. North Posey is no where close to being on the same radar as MD, but it’ll be an interesting race for 2nd between the Posey County rivals NP and MV, and I’ll even throw North into the mix. 
Should be a great day of wrestling, thankful the kids still have the opportunity to compete! Good luck to all! 

Maybe his weight loss plan didn't allow him to make scratch at 145 until this late in the season, and if he couldn't beat his teammate at 152, he would have to bump to 160 to make the lineup. Just a possibility.

I got the information from Track Wrestling.  Of course, my eyes completely missed those events I mentioned were last year (Jan 2020)

I don't believe KY school can start until 1/4/21 and IL pushed their season back to April, so I would expect none of the KY teams and no IL teams.  No idea on Fr. Ryan from TN.

I believe everyone's problem with Boonville dates back to the past couple years around this time of year when Sectional, Regional, and Semi-State predictions are being thrown around and there guys weren't being picked and they were getting there feelings hurt over it. It is obvious though to the knowledgeable wrestling fan around our area that Boonville has been one of the better teams in the past couple years as your statistic shows with the number of Semi-State qualifiers.

I get it. People get emotional on here. It's an emotional sport. Most likely some moms/dads...and probably some teenage kids just saying stupid things to stoke the flames and get old men riled up. Anyhow, I think all those teams in that list are solid programs who have had there ups and downs over the years...but what program hasn't. Strength of schedule is an important factor, but so is the fight and training of the individual athlete.

Most likely yes, but not guaranteed. Rioux, Dalton, and Montgomery should go 1, 2, 3 in any order at the Mooresville Regional. Alstott wins the Bloomington South Regional. If Hayhurst can draw the #4 from Mooresville then he would avoid Rioux, Dalton, or Montgomery.
 
But, either Hayhurst or Alstott will draw into one of those top 3 from Mooresville. Brutal ticket round match!

I don't doubt Fulks is a great wrestler and I am not rooting against anyone.  I could see him beating Fitts, but I can't see it being a major.  I think Fitts will win a close one. 

I just find some of the comments from Boonville fans who pop up and make crazy predictions and then disappear.  How about joining in on discussions all year long?  How about maybe understanding how tough the competition is state-wide and understanding that a solid wrestler with a nice record and a lot level of competition, most of the time won't go deep in the state series.  Root for your wrestlers.  But to show up and speak out without realistic expectations is tiresome.

Team State classification has been finalized after confirming forfeit data and classification-eligible schools following sectionals. 
 
There will be 35 schools in 4A (including the new Elkhart High School Lions), 60 in 3A, and 91 in each of 2A and 1A.

I think you have to throw Mt. Vernon in the mix in the team standings. You have 5 getting out for Mt. Vernon, tied with CA, and more than Boonville and NP. I think it will go MV, NP, CA, Boonville. MV and NP could go either way.

Hopefully tomorrow. It's always way slower sectional week than the rest. We've got 4200 kids or forfeits to track and classification of teams to finalize before we can put out scores. The next few weeks will be much faster.
