  1. This weekend saw some Indiana kids doing big things in Wisconsin at Middle School Duals and at Huntington Duals saw a ton of tough match ups which could happen in March. A few kids put themselves on the radar with Jacob Jones getting a huge win, Tanner Tishner, Kaeb Stebbins, Jeffrey Huyvaert, and Clinton Shepherd. I’m sure I’m missing more but it’s always a good thing for the State to see lots of kids challenging themselves. Indiana will be well represented in Virginia Beach this weekend on multiple teams
  2. Great Start for Aiden Torres of Chesterton going 10-0 in Illinois today
  3. All good names mentioned so far but some sleeper picks for me are Cole Solomey from KV, Orlando Cruz CP, Kaden Lone , Blake Wolf
  4. From watching that match I don’t believe the injury has anything to do with him not being on a lineup currently

    Joe Stanley

    Joe Stanley
  6. Rianne Murphy is not in Lake Central School District. Also I would look out for Jeffrey Huyvaert and Bryce Denton.
  7. Jendreas is a 7th grader right now homeschooled and will go into 8th next yr.
  8. Congrats to Jesse Mendez who went out and represented the State of Indiana very well at Who’s #1. He put on two awesome matches that could have gone either way. I believe he was the youngest person there and will be back to battle again for that spot.
  9. Never Been to Evansville but don’t believe those are the only two places to train......I believe Da Region will have school win State in the near future and the talent level is coming from multiple clubs
  10. Do u really believe those are the only two area and clubs? I think your sadly mistaken
  11. Human Nature is to always say things were harder yrs ago and not just in wrestling but all aspects of life.....the truth is the kids nowadays wrestle a lot more across the country in bigger tournaments and Duals from a very young age. So IMO I think the sport of wrestling with talent coming out of Indiana will be just fine
  12. I agree as I know it’s tougher to place as a freshman the heavier you are but I believe he will win the EC Semi State which should lead to a better placement leading into Friday Night. He will be 160 I believe and think Dickens and Noehre would be the favorites right now
  13. Yes and would have to be considered for Top 3 in my opinion
  14. I believe this years incoming class of 6th graders will be full of some top level talent including kids who have been wrestling for years in big tournaments. You have kids like Kyle Harden, Parker Reynolds, Revin Dickman, Evan Stanley, Nate Rioux, Landon Hawkins, Griffin Van Tichelt, Clinton Shepard, Jeffrey Huyvaert, Asher Ratliffe, Miguel Rojas, Jett Goldsberry, and Brant Beck. I’m sure I’m leaving some others out.
  15. Aiden Torres made the Championship to finish as runner up
  16. Kyle Harden and Evan Stanley made the Championships. Kyle comes back with the National Title while Evan Stanley takes 3rd. Landon Hawkins also fought back from opening round loss to the runner up to finish 7th.
  17. Overall a great weekend of wrestling but the biggest rule change I would like to see happen is the college out of bounds rule tab state. I feel like there are too many judgment takedowns and would love to see that implemented there.
  18. Congrats to Watts on a great career but that match was pretty one sided and dominated by Mendez.... looks like he is on his way to 4 timer status
  19. Everyone knew about Jesse and Zeke and deservingly so and both will be in the Finals but Cernus is now officially on the map and I believe will win it tonight over Cottey
  20. Laplace is lucky to get the second chance now let’s see what he does with it
