RegionRoyalty
How does everyone feel about coaches who wear sweatpants or jeans to a wrestling tournament? I personally am tired of it and think that it gives our sport a bad name with administrators.. How about wearing a suit coat and dress pants with tennis shoes at the state finals? These looks have to go!
Wrestlingfan182
Coaches Tonte and Wright are always the best dressed. at state. Can't wait to see what they breakout this year!

charger.dad
I hate this yearly topic. i agree.......seriously who really cares unless the coach has greasy jeans, flip flops and a dirty white t-shirt.....as long as they look nice and presentable in whatever style of dress they pick, they are representing themselves in their own way, they are probably good......i think most people are there to see the wrestlers and not to many worry about what the coaches are wearing.....the guys that wear suits are classy for sure, but the ones who pick a more casual look, from what i have seen, are not hurting our sport any....... I dont think its about what the fans think but how it makes the wrestlers feel. I want my coach to show up like he's here to do a job not mow the lawn. If Ive got a coach that is looking the part and taking it seriously then I definitely have more confident in my coach, team, and training.
aoberlin
The bottom line is I would much rather a coach have some class and wear blue jeans than deal with an a-hole in a suit.

Unknown Caller
No holes in the jeans, no stained clothing, a half way decent shirt with the school name on it, and if your kid makes the state finals match put on a pair of dress pants and a dress shirt with a tie. there yeah go problem solved!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
aoberlin
I would rather them be in khaki's and a polo and be classy. Joe we fight about this every year. I don't see a thing wrong with a nice team shirt tucked in, with some blue jeans that do not have holes in them. Now if you are going to be under the lights at State that is another story. I would happily wear the suit with pride.

snoopy
: Every year! A BB coach is not at school at 5AM, rolling on a mat demonstrating between rounds and having a 14 hour day. Let them have 5 games in a day and see how they dress. Back in the dual meet days I wore a coat and tie. With more super duals and driving more busses I went to good jeans and polo shirt. With blue as a school color I feel that it worked. State yea, but a regular dual, no. Tan pants would never look good for a whole day! When in stripes give me a comfortable calm coach over a well dressed idiot anytime.
