Guest KoKo B-Ware
Give me the biggest surprise wrestlers in each weight class. For example a kid that finished 4th at Sectional or Regional, or a kid that doesn't have a good record but really picked it up when it counted, etc.... I'm sure that each weight class has to have a surprise wrestler in it.
CoachRyan_Delta
I don't think many people (besides me and NavyGonzo) picked Steve Gonzales last week.
TripleB
125 - Tim Martin New Albany, 119 all year before bumping up to an extremely tough weight class for sectionals. Took 3rd at Sectionals, 3rd at Regionals, and won Semi-State. Good Luck this weekend Tim.
NavyGonzo
I think you would also have to include Jacob Armantrout in this discussion. Was 31-8 entering semi-state, finishing 3rd at sectional and regional, and beat out 2 returning state qualifiers just to make it through.
yes man
I don't think that many people figured Crown Point's 215, Jimmy Bakaliak, to make it to state.
Thornton
I would like to congratulate New Palestine's 215-pounder Antonio Halbert. There is a kid that has labored behind some outstaning talent the past few years and when he got his chance this year he made the most of it. Best of luck Friday!! CoachRyan_Delta
Jared Schwartz at FW semi-state ! I know there was an article on here about him, But I was one of them that didn't see him making it through ! Great job though ! Absolutely! I think most of FW Coliseum was in awe (and disbelief I guess) when he beat Larowe. Great job and good luck!
No One Famous
Good luck to Halbert! He has a great chance for the upset Friday night!!
Champion
Jake Wimsett Rockville 285 (26-17) I think got 4th at regionals and then 4th at semi state, he was also down like 8pts at semi state and pulled out a pin to go to state.
vmikeydet20
Congrats to CP's 215 Jimmy Bakalik.. He upsets a one seed at semistate and takes 3rd after taking 4th at regionals.. Good luck at state!!!
JBeckley
Owen Dorris 135 from Pioneer will be a big surprise in the State.
hic42
I know this isnt a surprise but im sure his opponents might or the people who havent seen him wrestle. Anthony Quiroz has 11 losses but 5 go to Mcmurray from portage. This kid is going to surprise a lot of downstate people this weekend.
bbulldog152
Before Regionals I didn't think Quicksall from Lawrenceburg would make it to state let alone finish 2nd but two upsets in regionals helped him alot... and this was just his 2nd year of wrestling
Dingo Brigade
Quicksall and Wimsett are some big boys.

D-train
125 - Tim Martin New Albany, 119 all year before bumping up to an extremely tough weight class for sectionals. Took 3rd at Sectionals, 3rd at Regionals, and won Semi-State. Good Luck this weekend Tim. that is impressive, but why did he go up to 125 after wrestling at 119 all year?
