hogleg
I can't see Tsirtis' record ever being broken. That is a lot of matches to wrestle, not to mention win.

2016GrecoGold
I can't see Tsirtis' record ever being broken. That is a lot of matches to wrestle, not to mention win. Probably not because of that 18 point match system.
Y2CJ41
The same 18 point system was in place back then, it just did not mandate that 4 of those points must be used for regular duals.

Y2CJ41
Each team/school has 18 "points" to use when scheduling meets. Dual meets are worth 1 point Super duals and tournaments are worth 2 points Four of those points must be used in dual meets, the other 14 can be used however the coach/AD wishes. Also included in those points is the conference tournament if a team is in a conference.
naco228
oh ok so whats up with Griffith? Did they just wrestle like every weekend? i mean Tsirtsis had like 60 some matches his sophomore year so did Escoebedo

So that's probably where Griffith got those 10-15 extra matches.
