119: Petrov (Hanover Central)

125: Brady (Lowell)

130: Porras (Hobart)

135: Dillon (Hobart)

140: Surma (Munster)

145: Almaraz (Highland)

189: Lott (E.C.C.)

Team wise I see a 2 team race between Munster and Lowell for the title (also 1 and 2 last year) with possibly Hobart and Highland as darkhorses...

Lowell has a pretty good 171 pounder, I don't remember his name but he made it to the 2nd day of the Al Smith Classic.

Lake Central is indeed back in the tournament, however, I believe that Hammond Morton has dropped out. Also, the tournament is scheduled at Hammond Clark HS on January 10th, not Jan 17th.

January 17th will be the Northwest Crossroads Conference Meet at Lowell and the Duneland Conference Meet at Laporte, which will include many of the same teams that participate in the Lake County Meet.

Good to see LC back in. So with the exception of Crown Point, Merrillville and Morton, all the rest of the county schools are entered. I know that CP and Merr. have other committments, but why would Morton drop out? With all of the Hammond schools belonging to their own 4 school conference, I'm sure their schedules have had to suffer a little. So why not take the opportunity to get your kids a full day of wrestling . I hope that if they did drop out that they at least picked up another tourney elsewhere.

Looking foward to an exciting match at 103 between Ayersman and Medina..Both guys undefeated...Ayersman has got to be the favorite after winning the Al Smith, but im thinking Medina is gonna come up on top...Either way its gonna be a good one

How big is Ayersman looking for a 103lber? I know last year he was only weighing in the 90's and I was curious if he filled out to the full 103 or if he is this successful while giving up a little bit of weight to the rest of the 103 lb class?

Wildcat,

Have you even seen Medina wrestle to have the knowledge that there is "no way" Ayersman is losing to him? Doubt it.

dA rAT tinks dat Azeryman would put a takedown clinic on da munster boy. Outside single to da rightb leg. On of does you know its comin but you can't stop it.  Azeryman is lookin like a little machine.

I believe the brackets will be posted later on today.  215 was an interesting weight class.  #2 ranked Cleveland of Lowell is seeded #3 in the tournament.

If you are wondering who is ahead of him:

#1 Chris Woods (West Side) 5-0

#2 Vlade Nacovski (Lake Central) 21-0
