  1. Thank you for posting this topic. I agree completely. Had the misfortune of sitting in front of what I believe were Eastern Greentown fans for the finals and had a grown woman in the group whining and booing teenage kids for this and went as far as to accuse one (can't remember which kid it was) of ripping off a scab in the finals so that he could start bleeding. No place for that coming from someone who has no idea what these kids go through.
  2. I agree with White Angel...my guess is that Rodriguez dropped to 140 in order to take his chances with Porras seeing that he did lose by fall to Surma last year in the sectional. Turns out Surma goes 152 for the county and had Rodriguez just stayed at 145 he would most certainly be going home with a county title, which isn't as certain at 140 with Porras being there.
  3. this is kind of an older one but LPD096 and Kurt Monix/Ethan Winel!
  4. I understand they may be brother but regionfan#1 and Anthony Napules
  5. I don't think the song Sirius by Alan Parsons Project (chicago bulls into theme) has ever been played in Conseco Fieldhouse...
  6. I think Delphi actually had 5...Floyd, McTigue, Lynde, Atwood and Everett
  7. 103: Ayersman (LC) 112: Rodriguez (Highland) 119: Smith (Munster) 125: Wartman (LC) 130: Bolt (Munster) 135: Slosser (Munster) 140: Surma (Munster) 145: Almaraz (Highland) 152: Estrada (Munster) 160: Tyler (Highland) 171: Gutierrez (Munster) 189: Lott (ECC) 215: Nunez (Highland) 285: Anderson (Highland) ...Munster takes down the team title. LC 2nd
  8. What about the 1.5% per week. How could this be possible? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? Maybe he's only weighing at 146 or 147. Just because he's wrestling 152 doesn't mean he is weighing in at 152 or 153 and I'm pretty sure this does happen to be the case with him.
  9. Champs: 103-Medina (Munster) 112-Rodriguez (Highland) 119-Lamb (Lowell) 125-Camacho (Hobart) 130-Porras (Hobart) 135-Dillon (Hobart) 140-Schultz (KV) 145- Almaraz (Highland) 152-Surma (Munster) 160-Monix (Lowell) 171-Bartley (Griffith)? 189-? 215-Cleveland (Lowell) 285-Anderson (Highland)
  10. White Angel, Will there be coolers allowed at the Merrillville Semi State and no room to warm up? If so, I'll make sure that I come out of a different semi state as well!
  11. Here's a shot out of a cannon...Oprah, Barbara Walters, your wife. You gotta sleep with one, kill one, marry one. Go!
  12. State Finals Matches...(not saying who is winning) 103: Ayersman vs. Campbell 112: Mullins vs. Nelson 119: Wright vs. Eppert 125: Tsirtsis vs. Quiroga 130: Porras vs. Harper 135: Roach vs. March 140: Sandefer vs. Surma 145: Young vs. McGinley 152: McMurray vs. Estrada 160: Runyan vs. Myers 171: Atwood vs. Duckworth 189: Shrewsbury vs. Graber 215: Baker vs. Keigley 285: Chalfant vs. Arthur
  13. I think rat is confusing this conference for the northwest crossroads conference up in the region. The hoosier crossroads conference consists of Avon, Brownsburg, Fishers, Hamilton SE, Lafayette Harrison, Lafayette Jeff, McCutcheon, Noblesville, Westfield and Zionsville (quite a range of miles between some of the schools in the conference.) On the other hand the northwest crossroads has Andrean, Griffith, Highland, Hobart, Kankakee Valley, Lowell and Munster.
  14. Once you reach 10 posts you are able to give out wahoo's or boo's... Depending on what the person receives determines his "cool points" so if i boo'd you you would lose a cool point, if i gave you a wahoo though you'd gain one
  15. Has there been any recent occasions where the top 4 in a weight class at Conseco have all come from the same semi-state location? I remember last year at 130 the top 3 all came from Merrillville...1. Churchard 2. Roach 3. Young...
  16. It seemed as if bad sportsmanship was a theme on more than one occasion in the finals. Another instance was Johnny Dillon who for some reason seemed like he wanted to throw his headgear after winning by TF over his opponent from Munster, never seen that happen before. P.s. when did it become cool to wear a backpack during introductions?
  17. matman, the seeding at 215 has nothing to do with the common sense of the coaches as you put it. the criteria for seeding is returning champ at same weight class which explains Woods' #1 seed. I agree that the seeding there is questionable but either way Cleveland would be wrestling Woods in the finals so it all works out.
  18. That is very true that he always came in with a great record, much in part to the schedule full of dish rags he wrestled. Daniel Young manhandled him though in the ticket round last year via a 20-5 technical fall if I recall correctly.
  19. Wildcat, Have you even seen Medina wrestle to have the knowledge that there is "no way" Ayersman is losing to him? Doubt it.
  20. Has anyone seen this guy lately or has he been missing as well?
