  2. Roncalli and Perry Merridian both have 12 going to Semi-State.
  3. Mike Runyon (Bloomington South) Doug Rigney (Decatur Central) Gil Journey )Perry Meridian) Jeff Pease (Muncie Southside) Billy Terry (Indpls. Cathedral) Toby Turner (Monrovia) Frank Ingalls (Lawrence North)
  4. McGinley is wrestling very well right now I think, he beats Whitten in another tight one. And I am sticking to Farrell over Moss, he is a better wrestler I think than Moss. It will be an exciting match I think between these two, definitely.
  5. 103-McGinley - Roncalli Whitten - Ben Davis Cottey - Perry Meridian Lock - Shelbyville 112-LeCount - Perry Meridian King - Roncalli Hardcastle - Ben Davis Fee - New Palestine 119-Farrell - Greenfield Central Moss - Ben Davis Kenny - Perry Meridian Martin - Franklin Central 125-Jo. 6. Warren Central Sectional: #5 seed Jake Tucker 28-9 (Roncalli) beat #1 seed Sam Balbach 35-1 (Mt. Vernon) 9-6 in the semi's.
  7. Just to clarify the Glogas-Ellis match. It couldn't have been Ellis' junior year because he was @ 112lbs. and Glogas was always 98lbs. So it would have had to been Ellis' freshman season Glogas' sophmore year, cause Glogas was a year older than Lance I believe.
  8. Try Rob Pavletic - Hobart(I think)......wanna say he had 11 losses during the season - '88 or '89 I think.
  9. Get well soon Coach Thornton! The Ingalls Family
  10. If I was on my feet, it would be a short-arm carry straight to your back or a reverse grip leg trip to your back. On bottom would be a reverse grip elevator straight to your back. On top I would either hit you eith a cross-face cradle or a side headlock (key-lock) to a head stand for a quick tilt.
  11. The State Champion Team is coming out of Marion County this year! Sorry Region!
  12. Congrats to Perry Meridian for winning a very competitive Marion County tournament. LN and Roncalli are nipping at their heels! LN having 5 champs and Roncalli went 6-1 in head-to-head match-ups w/ PM (next dual between these two could have a different outcome - score wise). If Roncalli's 215lber. [Tucker] #3 seed doesn't lose 1st round and scores possible finals points, the Rebels would have been right there challenging PM & LN for the top spot. Warren Central's non-existences @ this tourney. LC had a great showing......alot of young talent(112-145) and their upper weights had a good showing (2 runner-ups). NC also put in a good showing. I definitely see some state champs coming out of Marion County this year. 103-Boston(LN), 125-Josh Kieffer, 135- Justin Lieffer to name a couple. Good things from the County this year @ Conseco I predict.
  13. Perry Meridian and LN are starting to pull away. BD, Roncalli, and LC are hanging in there @ 3rd thru 5th. Semi-finals are still going on right now. Trackwrestling.com has updates to 130lbs. as of now.
  14. Hugh Waddington(LN) vs. Brian Johnson(Beechgrove) '87 126lbs. State Chapionship match Lance Ellis's(Cathedral) 4th title - tossing and pinning Scott Wilson(Rushville) after Wilson takes him down Cooper Samuels(Floyd Central) vs. Jacob Blackwell(Roncalli) semi-finals match @ state tournament Frank Ingalls(LN) reversing Doug Rigney(Decatur Central) w/ :03 seconds to go for the Marion County Championship in '88
  15. I wish Team State was around when I was wrestling.
  16. Had a Uncle wrestling in the 70's(Indpls. Scecina); another Uncle in the 80's(Walnut, CA)state place winner; older brother in 80's(LN '85 to '89); me(LN '92); nephew(Fishers, IN) nephew(Center Grove) and a couple of little guys waiting to make their way on to the mat soon.
  17. 1) Kelvin Jackson 2) Jason Terry 3) Reece Humphrey 4) All of the other State Champs from LN (Balwinski, Waddington, Spencer, Ingalls, Smith, Deckard, Hooper, Robinson, Miller, Stephens, Quiroga).......did I miss anyone? 5) Lance Ellis
  18. The Lawrence North 1992 team ended up ranked #8 or #9 in the nation. I know it was in the top10.
