  1. I don't necessarily disagree. But it seems like another avenue for inconsistency. I'm sure officials calls will vary wildly on this
  2. same here. I actually approached the table thinking the ref just made a mistake and meant to call the bottom wrestler, who was not trying to advance, for a stall. Told the ref, "I've never seen that". His reply- "You have now". LOL yeah how very "official".
  3. Question - Has anyone seen a leg ride with top wrestler activly working wrist control called for stalling? (meaning the top wrestler called for the stall)
  4. First, we hope everything is ok with Nick and his family. Second, terrible news for Indiana wrestling community. Best of luck and we hope to see thing work out for the best. Munster Wrestling Family
  5. 132: Cody Crary (Munster) over Cody Almon (Plymouth) 9-4
  6. I thought always thought Gelen Robinson was pretty scary. Shawn Streck's getting into the same category.
  7. So sorry for your loss. Infinite prayers. Moment of silence prior to 11/12 practice. Munster Wrestling
  8. ECC will be about another 20-25 min farther than Mville for the warsaw area guys. 65 to 94 get off at Cline ave. All those routes are expressway speed.
  9. not only will they have the spotlight. how does warm up mats and a big warm up area that's available to wresters all day sound?
  10. East Chicago Central is the new semi-state venue.
  11. I've now heard that the IHSAA is interested in keeping the semi-state in lake county. Lake Central or East Chicago Central.
  12. Any news on this?? I would think this would/should have already be desided.
  13. this is an awesome technology era and we have some bright minds in the field that are also involved in wrestling, and in this conversation. is it going out on a limb to suggest gotomeeting.com or something similar to ensure or at least boost attendance at ISWA meetingis?? JAI
  14. IMO a change to anything other than a form fitting uni will cause more hand(finger, thumb) and wrist injuries.
  15. I've not read all of the posts in this thread so pardon if I'm being redundant. But qualifying for freestyle state seems to be a turn off for many. So greater numbers is your goal wouldn't it be wise to find ways to make it easier to participate instead of creating more challenges?? I'm don't know seems real simple.
  16. awesome! IMO all these responses are the right one to a very good question. Well played
  17. Your correct. But I've several over the past few years that have not wrestled in IN, yet still competed in Iowa.
  18. For my two boys it's in the neighborhood of $95 per month each. And considering the cost of some of the other Academies in the area, I feel like I'm stealing.... LOL! If you look at the list of RWA kids that attend everyday I think you'll agree it's going to be tough to find a more competitive room. In addition to the bodies I listed, there is also a group of 6-8 kids from Michigan(all state placers)that make the drive twice a week. And then there's the coaching staff. Which speaks for itself. They do a great job of limiting the number of bodies as well in order to make instruction time more productive. They also allow parents to watch. Which is a great opportunity to watch some of IN, IL and Michigans best wrestlers roll. Just a great environment all the way around for everyone. Unfortunately, I believe they are at capacity for this session.
  19. how long ago? I was going back less than a year. What? How exactly is someone's opinion of behavior, good or bad, related to "beating them"?
  20. my point is this is the younger Lee so...
  21. It would seem this is more evidence of the rise of Indiana wrestling over the past few years from a depth perspective. Very encouraging and fun to be a part of.
