Thanks Mr, Garcia for having my back. Yes people all I did was list the current rankings and then look at EVERY Regional/EVERY weight to locate the wrestlers placement.... no biggie because I had multiple hours to spare to educate the wrestling community.
As evidenced by the results so far another incredible job by all involved with the rankings.

Indysportsfan got a reaction from Wrestling Scholar in Year round wrestling hurting the sport?
My son played for the Indiana Bulls and they traveled to Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida.  I would spend every bit of $4,000 a year on Hotels, Food and Gas; throw in organizational fees (around $2000), baseball equipment (new bat every year), gate fees, and just a crap load of incidentals and I was probably close to $7,500 on baseball alone.   My daughter was involved in Club Volleyball and Travel Softball but because they didn't travel outside of the state very often it felt like we were paying a discount for them.
With that said they had a wonderful time, learn their sport extremely well and I know they will remember it for a lifetime so it was money well spent.

Indysportsfan reacted to Darrick Snyder in Wrestlebacks Poll
    Here’s my opinion:
If we want wrestlebacks from the IHSAA, do NOT argue a kid gets caught or has a bad match.  They say we aren’t valuing the effort and performance of the kid had who pulled the upset.
Focus on the ridiculous draws that puts two placers against each other.  At Mishawaka Joey Smith beats Trace Hall of SB Riley in triple OT I believe to win the Regional.  We had lost to him like 3 times that year.  Our reward is we draw into Galka of Hobart who had been injured precious week.  Hall places at state and we lose in ticket round 3-2.
Even better one: Trent Reinoehl beats Young of CMA in OT to win regional.  Churchard of Valpo and Roach of Crown Point are In same regional. Our reward?  We draw roach in ticket round and lose 3-2.  Chrurchard gets first, roach 2nd and young 3rd at state while we sit in the stands.
If we are ever going to get wrestlebacks, it’s my opinion that these situations must be focus.  Don’t even bring up someone getting caught.  IHSAA will use that against us.

That is true but you still have the problem where certain weights at each SS is LOADED with ranked kids.  You will still have an injustice even with wrestlebacks.  A few weeks back I did an Excel Sheet showing every ranked kid per semi-state.  Per the rankings the toughest weights at each SS are:
    NC - 113 (6 ranked), 120 (7 ranked), 195 (6 ranked), 220 (7 ranked)
    EV - 126 (6 ranked), 138 (7 ranked), 285 (6 ranked)
    EC - 106 (6 ranked), 285 (6 ranked)
    FW - 170 (6 ranked)
My point is you will still not get the best 16 at State -- be happy we have a tournament that gets the majority of the best kids and a few underdogs.

How do we really know who the top 4 from each SS is?  Do they just keep wrestling back till everyone is happy with who finally makes it. On any given day, the results could have a different outcome with the talent that's gonna be here. As upsetting as it is to see ones season end, it's also the beautiful thing about this sport.

It is an impossible task to get the best 16 to Bankers.....IMPOSSIBLE.  I am happy for the wrestler, who is NOT in the top 16, that was given the opportunity to walk through their school on Friday to the cheers of many of their classmates.  Yes I know there is a deserving kid that was left out because of a crappy draw, but for every door that closes another door opens.  That is just life.
