That’s incredibly weak if Warren Central conceded defeat because they already lost to Avon by 4. Last time the 215 match was decided in UTB, flip a one point match and WC wins. Anyone excusing or arguing for WC’s actions are losers. The whole purpose of wrestling is to show up to events, toe the line, and compete. Forfeiting five weight classes when you have 50 guys on your roster and leaving competition early is the antithesis of what we are as a sport. Only way this is excusable is if there is some tragic outside reason, but no one yet has given a reason like that. If Warren Central doesn’t want to compete, then kick them out. At least a year or two ban from team state.

This event is fun and alot of ppl work hard to get these mostly ranked kids together to battle and have a good time and now there is a team that is short on matches due to wc pulling. I'm sure alot of team would be honored to be apart of team state! Absolutely should be banned from team state and its a shame! Imo! 
 
Side note: all the hard working people that were involved with hosting and putting team state together thank you for all that you do for these kids! Indiana is blessed!

Shout out to all teams that participated. Indiana wrestling is at its strongest it has every been ! Congrats to all ! you proved this weekend that this years state tournament is going to be epic, not only for team championships but for individual accomplishments! 

Unless WC has a valid explanation, they shouldn’t be eligible for Team State next year. Others have mentioned this but this is the type of shenanigans that the IHSAA used to justify eliminating the team portion of the post season. Fortunately the IHSWCA can hold schools accountable for this type of tomfoolery.  

I heard that the announcer at the Al smith was so good they couldn’t see their self wrestling in a gym with out him.

that was really weird 4A is such a competitive field it would have been interesting to see if they knew there was sick bug running through the team if they could have got a team short notice 

Just my 2 cents, but with teams begging to get into this tourney, why would anyone let Warren Central return. 
 
Save even more time next year and don’t even come. 
 
15 min drive and show up an hour late and leave 2+ hours early.  Stay home.

I think they are both good enough to beat each other on any given day . I think a rematch is a tossup .

Gavin jendreas, Jake hockaday, clinton shepherd, wyatt kresja, Jeffrey hueyvart to name a few.  Honestly haven't seen thrine this yr yet, but he would be another one. Last year he wrestled every match like he's down by 10 and kept coming. Always looking to score the next points!
 
Indiana is blessed as a whole with different styles like LT Hawkins mat wrestling and awareness is next to none (watch LT vs dom brown al smith), will and paul clarks dominance is crazy!

It doesn't matter how he meant it &/or what inside info he has. It only matters how it is taken by others, most importantly how it is perceived by the kid &/or his parents who might be on here.

Enough good things can not be said about Andrew/jon on development and more than wrestling character development that they instill and absolutely lead by example! These coaches are absolutely dedicated/love and care for their athletes in every aspect of life. Howe wrestling academy is a blessing for Northern Indiana!
