  1. DJ won state his senior year. Perhaps DJs Junior year Redd got him
  2. The Ford Center puts on the best show for the young men wrestling. If you can think of another venue that can do what the Ford Center does for the wrestlers i'd be delighted to hear.
  3. Idk if it is the most but I believe Evansville Mater Dei has 25. Pretty solid amount.
  4. Didn't know that. Post has been edited due to insider information being released lol
  5. This dude would probably could possibly win state in Indiana as an 8th grader.
  6. Reitz pounds Konrath.... again. Then I pound you.
  7. Let's be real Lee would probably win at 220 and HVY also.
  8. The first question about Paul is what weight would he wrestle ? I'm going to assume he laid off the hostess cakes and cheeseburgers and could make 126/132. Which in that case I think he'd plow through 126. 132 is a different story. He has recently been pounded by Bailey if i'm not mistaken and for Reitz, well that story has already been written. Let's say he didn't lay off the hostess cakes and cheeseburgers. He could make a run at 138. If i'm not mistaken back when Egli was still around he beat Black. Paul beat Egli, Egli Beat Black.....Paul beats Black. So in conclusion I think he'd be a possible champ at 126 or 138 (assuming he's put some muscle on).
  9. True on Parris BUT Joe Lee has gotten stuck in his career........... twice. Flat like a pancake. I'm sure he will win but when his emotions take over it sometimes results in bad news bears.
  10. Maybe instead of hitting the top man with a stalling the refs can call more frequent stalemates to reset both men, therefore giving the bottom guy a better chance to get out and the top guy his attempt to maintain position. Just a thought.
  11. Did the ref call an escape for Black and a TD for Rumph at the end of first period which ended up getting wiped or did I just black out ?
  12. I guess the sum of throwing headgear, taking straps off on the mat, and kicking the coaches chair wasn't enough to warrant a DQ.
  13. edited post, wrong forum...
  14. yeah, definitely not the most dominant career but 1 year run he absolutely pounded First Round Chad Ruggeri (34-0), Mount Vernon (12) vs. Justin Bischoff (25-13), Franklin County (12), Fall, :46. Quarterfinals Chad Ruggeri (35-0), Mount Vernon (12) def. Joshua Turner (39-6), Hammond Morton (12), Fall, 1:14. Semifinals Chad Ruggeri (36-0), Mount Vernon (12) def. David Benner (45-2), Benton Central (12), Technical Fall, 5:08 (17-1).
  15. Championship Chad Ruggeri (37-0), Mount Vernon (12) def. Dexter Larimore (49-3), Merrillville (10), Fall, 1:10. In case anyone needs proof .....
  16. Idk about career but one year of dominance goes to Chad Ruggeri from Mt.Vernon hands down. Absolutely demolished everyone.
  17. Big 8's Vincennes and Jasper are on Eastern time zone .......... I thought the PAC's Southridge, Pike Central, and Forest Park were the only 3 on Eastern time zone. Maybe I missed something.
  18. I get that every other school in Indiana basically is going to cut down on travel time because Mt. Vernon is tucked so tight in the corner (see map if you don't believe me), I was simply stating that how much of about a 30-20 min travel time deduction per school really hold weight in the argument? If we are that concerned with distance and travel time then why don't we just narrow conferences down to sectors of schools located the absolute closest to one another?
  19. North Posey-27 min South Spencer- 58 min Southridge-1 hour 18 min Heritage Hills-1 hour 15 min Gibson Southern-52 min Tell City-1 hour 30 min Pike Central-1 hour 11 min Forest Park-1 hour 20 min Tecumseh-55 min Avg. travel from Mt.Vernon apx. 1 hour 5 min Avg. travel from Mt.Vernon (if you don't count North Posey cause i'm sure that argument will come into play) apx. 1 hour 10 min Boonville-52 min Washington-1 hour 26 min Princeton-1 hour Jasper-1 hour 32 min Mt. Carmel-56 min Vincennes-1 hour 24 min Avg travel from Mt.Vernon apx. 1 hour and 11 min I don't think travel concerns has much of a backbone to argue with.
  20. Cory McGrady from Columbus East was a freak of nature. Jon Goldsberry from Heritage Hills made it to the NFL and I believe he was runner up in 2000. Complete monster.
  21. 2014-106 State Placers Jeremiah Reitz-1-(1st, SQ, 2nd) Paul Konrath-2 (2nd, 3rd) Breyden Bailey-3-(3x 3rd ) Alec White-4-(4th, SQ, 6th) Will Egli-5-(4th, 5th) Drew Hildebrandt-6- (champ, 2nd, 6th, and 8th) Noah Franklin-7 Kyle Hatch-8-(7th, 8th) State Qualifiers Colton Cummings- (Champ 2 times, SQ 1 time) Hunter Langeloh-(6th, 7th, SQ) Nathaniel Weimer (SQ, 8th) Lukas Long Mason Kaufer Jason Katzer Ryan Hawkins Karl Wilhelm Honorable Mention Josh Stephenson (KO by Katzer SS)- (4th place, SQ) Blake Glogouski (KO by Langeloh SS)- (5th place 2 times, SQ 1 time) Michael DeLaPena (KO by Cummings SS)

  23. I see what you guys are saying. I was thinking last year as in the 2015-2016 season he wrestled 220. and the previous year before that he wrestled 182. I was saying that THIS year is the 2016-2017 season since school has started, BUT I guess since wrestling hasn't started it's not techincally THIS year. Either way he still pounds
